Super adresse !
La maison bateau est bien située (environ 30 min de la gare et donc du nord d'Amsterdam) ce qui est pratique pour tout faire à pieds. Doët et son époux ont été super puisque nous ne parlons pas anglais, sven nous a tout expliqué en français. Endroit très calme et agréable avec des canards à la fenêtre de la chambre comme réveil 🤗

Nice Property on the canal
The property was very nice and in a good area. A little ways for walking but bus and team available. The hosts were very gracious and gave us nice tips on local restaurants, transportation, erc. We would recommend this to anyone.

A nice stay on a houseboat.
The room was cosy and decorated to a high standard. Although check in was not possible until 4pm due to other guests checking out the same day, the host kindly allowed us to drop our luggage off when we arrived at 12. There is a bike rents shop nearby which is convenient. If you have bikes then the location is great as it is in a quiet location but also very close to centra Amsterdam.

Quiet part of town but be prepared to walk as it is some distance from the central station. Not a problem for us except late at night when we were tired. Public transport does cover the whole of Amsterdam however. Hosts were very pleasant and kept a low profile allowing us to do our own thing but helpful when needed. Highly recommend this canal boat stay. Different.

Wir haben nur ein kleines Zimmer gehabt u wohnten mit den Vermietern zusammen auf dem Hausboot.In dem Zimmer gabe es nur einen Wasserkocher u zwei Teller,ohne Möglichkeit diese zu reinigen.Die Vermieter waren am Tag,sowie auch nachts sehr laut.Türenknallen war anscheinend normal u man konnte jedes Gespräch mithören.Desweiteren gibt es weder Radio noch TV.Dafür,dass wir nichts hatten,war der Preis absolut zu hoch!Nie wieder!!!

Great location; very loud and shared space
We traveled from western Canada to visit Amsterdam . Our last correspondence to the host, we specifically stated that we could not call on our arrival , as requested, but could communicate thru wifi (email). When we arrived at the airport, and gathered our luggage, we checked our email. No new correspondence. We hailed a taxi and started to head over. In seeing that I was receiving calls from the host, I put my data on to call her, only to be "scolded" for not letting her know that our flight was late and this would hinder a smooth "check in". Bad vibe right from the start. The "luxury" in the title is deceiving. However, this is a vacation "home"; what we didn't expect was that we would be subject to family upsets. Please know that with your stay you are amongst a family and steps away from the hall to the main living area. We were jet lagged for the first couple of days and the door slamming and the loud talking kept us up at night or outright woke us up, it was consistent throughout the week and we thought, inconsiderate. We were on vacation and expected the same respect we gave to their family. We had doors slamming and loud discussions in the hallway at 2:00 a.m. On arrival, I went to use the bathroom and there was no soap provided to wash hands. You're not allowed to flush toilet paper down the toilet so you have to put your urine and feces filled toilet paper in a little garbage can beside the toilet. The amenities stated are what you get and nothing more, so please be prepared. No TV, no microwave, no soap, no shower door so the bathroom floor gets completely drenched, no balcony, but a large window that opens to the canal that is full of garbage and looking at a brick wall and the resident ducks have no problem making a lot of noise predawn. We did not go there to see the scenery of the house. Perhaps the main dwelling is unique and luxurious, but the BandB was a small room. We lived out of our suitcases for 6 days. We did have fresh towel exchange on the third day. The best part of staying there was the cafe's and pubs in the area. We met the most amazing people at the Rooster bar and Checkpoint Charlie which are just a few blocks away. We took different walking routes to the centre of the city daily where we were greeted and met, as we have in the past, the most beautiful Dutch people. I would not recommend this place for long stays. Perhaps an overnighter.

Irreführende Beschreibung der Unterkunft
Es handelte sich lediglich um ein Zimmer als Bestandteil des Bootes. Man hat sämtliche Geräusche und Gespräche des Vermieters mitbekommen, umgekehrt natürlich auch. Das Zimmer hat nicht 30 qm, sondern ca. 15 qm. Das sog. Kingsizebett ist nicht 1,80 m, sondern nur 1,60 m breit. Wir hatten zwar etwas Geschirr, einen Wasserkocher und eine Senseo-Kaffeepadmaschine, mussten das Geschirr aber per Hand im Waschbecken spülen. Die Angabe B & B bezieht sich nicht auf Bed & Breakfast, sondern auf Bed on Board. Somit ist der Preis von 129 € pro Nacht viel zu hoch, in meinen Augen ABZOCKE. Amsterdam selbst ist eine Reise wert, der Weg bis ins Zentrum betrug 5 Busstationen. Auch im Westerpark (nahe unserer Unterkunft) konnte man einiges unternehmen. Amsterdam sieht uns wieder, diese Unterkunft jedoch nicht!!!

The property itself was well maintained and comfortable. The hosts were somewhat unattentive. For example, when I asked my host if she had a short piece of rope or twine I could use to secure luggage to my bike, she immediately referred me to a bike shop in the area.

Schöne Lage für Kurzaufenthalt…
Für max. 2-3 Nächte ein hübsches, sauberes Zimmer. Dann doch etwas zuviel „Kinderzimmer“ Atmosphäre, Abends auf Küchenstühlen sitzen ist nicht so toll. Ein Minimum an Selbstverständlichkeit fehlt bei dem Preis. Kein Stauraum, Garderobe mit 4 Kleiderbügeln muss ausreichen. Sehr hellhörig und etwas weniger Türen knallen wäre rücksichtsvoll. Auf keinen Fall 30qm und auch kein B&B. Gastgeber nett und hilfsbereit, vor allem der Herr des Hauses. Die Lage ist schön, vor allem wenig touristisch. Ein tolles Viertel (Jordaan) ist ganz in der Nähe. Wir hatten einen schönen Kurztrip, würden uns aber das nächste Mal für eine andere Unterkunft entscheiden.

Nulla da dire sulla posizione. Ottima e ben collegata con il centro. Non veritiera come da descrizione, in quanto la casa galleggiante è condivisa con i proprietari, quindi a disposizione si ha solamente la stanza (non metri quadri come scritto, molto più piccola e con bagno dove non c'è una tendina o divisorio tra doccia e bagno). Nel complesso secondo noi, prezzo troppo alto per una stanza con bagno.

Perfect nice room on a house boat for a trip to Amsterdam. The owner Doet provided us much information about were to go. The whole city is reachable by walking and so I ever would book this room again.

Vermieter waren sehr freundlich und umgänglich. Schönes kleines Zimmer. Ausgestattet mit einer Kaffeemaschine, Wasserkocher und einem Kühlschrank. Bett war sehr gut. Keine Duschabtrennung(Bad war nach dem duschen immer nass.)kein Kleiderschrank, nur Wandhaken mit Bügel. Das Hausboot befindet sich am Ende einer Gracht. Kein Wassergeruch,kaum Stechmücken. Nahegelegener Supermarkt ca. 500m (wo wir immer unser Frühstück gekauft haben.) Schön abgelegen. Zur Innenstadt u. Hauptbahnhof ca. eine halbe Std. zu Fuss. Trotz Corona ein wunderschöner Urlaub.

Nicht annähernd 30 m² und dafür viel zu teuer...
Ich fange mal mit dem Negativen an: In der Beschreibung steht was von 30 m². Leider ist es nur ein Raum, der meilenweit von 30 m² entfernt ist. Mit gutem Willen sind das vielleicht 14 m². Außerdem ist dieser Raum wirklich nur Bestandteil des „Wohnraums“ der Vermieter. Wenn die Vermieterin in ihrem Büro ist, kann man eigentlich jedes Wort was sie spricht mithören. Was umgekehrt genauso ist. Man traut sich nicht mal laut zu lachen oder lauter zu reden, weil man eigentlich in der Wohnung der Vermieter ist. Es ist für mich ein sehr unangenehmes Gefühl gewesen. Vor dem Fenster des Raumes steht eine Laterne und der Raum ist eigentlich die ganze Nacht hell erleuchtet, da auf dieser Seite keine richtige Verdunklung möglich ist. Wir haben dann einen mitgebrachten Bettbezug vorm Fenster drapiert, damit wir wenigstens etwas Dunkelheit im Raum hatten. Außerdem ist der Raum so klein, dass er eine Bullenhitze entwickelt. Er lässt sich auch leider nicht richtig lüften, weil es nur ein Fenster zum Öffnen gibt und daher kein Durchzug möglich ist. Leider gibt es auch keinen Kleiderschrank in den man seine Kleider legen, beziehungsweise hängen könnte. Wir haben drei Tage nur aus dem Koffer gelebt, was in einem Raum dieser Größe fast unmöglich ist. Wir sind eigentlich nur über unsere Koffer und Taschen geklettert. Positiv: das Bett ist bequem. Außerdem liegt es sehr zentral und man kann alles sehr gut erreichen. Es gibt etwas Geschirr aber nur zwei Tassen, zwei Teller und Besteck. Leider mussten wir drei Tage diese Teller im Waschbecken des Bades mit HandSeife ohne Lappen abwaschen. Hier stimmt das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis leider überhaupt nicht!!!!

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Die Vermieter sind sehr zuvorkommend und geben viele gute Tipps in Bezug auf Lokale und Sehenswertes in Amsterdam. Einziger Kritikpunkt ist die Angabe von 30 m² für die Unterkunft. Nach unserem Ermessen sind es max. 20 m².

Great neighborhood but...
I have to give this property 5 stars because it was indeed a wonderful experience and the neighborhood is beautiful, quiet, and conveniently located. However, you should know that the description of “entire place” is not accurate. This is a small suite (bedroom and bathroom) in a family’s home. Yes, we had a great time in Amsterdam and enjoyed our stay here. But, we were on our honeymoon and had we known this was a shared VRBO, we would have looked elsewhere. That being said, Doet was an excellent host and their house is beautiful. Thanks for having us!

My wife and I spent seven days at the BedonBoard. It just far enough from the central, read tourist section, we were beginning to think there were no tourists in the city. Doet was very helpful with recommendations. Yes, we would visit again!

Nice Houseboat in Residential Area
My husband and I stayed here while we visited Amsterdam on our honeymoon. The houseboat is beautiful and very clean. There is a lovely porch outside and sometimes the hosts' adorable dog hangs out outside.The area is a quieter, more residential area and it takes about 25 minutes to walk to the city center. In this respect it did feel a bit out of the way (especially if you're walking and not biking)but we enjoyed the walk and figured out our way around by the second day. The check in/check out process was smooth and the hosts were lovely! With this said, it is definitely important that you realize that its just a room. It seems much bigger in the listing, and saying its "the entire place" is kind of a stretch. At times it became pretty loud (some loud talking and piano playing) which we got a little annoyed with. Also the picture of the window makes it seem that you'd be on a canal with other boats/trees etc, but the window pictured actually faces a stone wall on the other side of the water, so we were a little bummed about that. Overall, we would recommend, but definitely know that its essentially a semi shared space as you're really only divided by a thin wall.

simple and unique
Not a B&B, but a very clean, bright room on a houseboat, not too far out of the central area. Very comfortable bed. Good bathroom. Mini-fridge and tea and coffee maker. No kitchen facility. Very quiet late at night. Only a couple of downsides: no shelves, drawers or luggage stands so must live out of suitcases on floor. Just four hangers on a rack. No comfortable seating. Very nice neighborhood. And finally, while quiet late at night for sleeping, can be very noisy until about ten p.m. or so with very loud banging doors, etc. Very reasonable rates. Good for very short stay.
