Boasting the warmest waters north of the Carolinas, the private beach offers swimming with a rocky coastline for exploring and sea glass hunting. The property has 750' of ocean frontage to enjoy and both treed areas and open grass fields. Available 2 night minimum in May, June, September and October. 3 night minimum in July and August. This property is centrally located on Nova Scotia’s north shore, just off Scenic route 6 (Sunrise Trail). The Sunrise Trail on the Northumberland Shore offers visitors beautiful beaches, seascapes, quaint villages and towns to explore as well as many shops, galleries, restaurants and golf courses to enjoy. There is lots to do in and around our home. The Town of Tatamagouce is a 20 minute drive away. Full of character, Tatamagouche is a thriving seaside village that embraces quality of life along Nova Scotia’s Northumberland Shore. In addition to its proximity to several warm water beaches, Tatamagouche is a destination for those with great taste! As well as many craft stores and museums, the village of Tatamagouche offers full services to visitors. There is a hospital, dental office, pharmacy, grocery store, liquor store, gas station and bank. The Tatamagouche Creamery is home to a Saturday morning market as well as community festivals. In the other direction the Town of Pugwash is a 30 minute drive away. At first site there’s no question why the coastal community of Pugwash is world famous for peace. Its tranquil harbor close to beaches, pewter gift shops, seaside golf and vineyards make it the romantic destination it is today. There is a hospital, dental office, pharmacy, grocery store, liquor store, bank, Northumberland Links Golf Course and many craft and gift stores here including Seagull Pewter. Pugwash is also home to Windsor Salt which produces over one million tonnes of salt annually. Local Attractions: With nearly 2 km of beautiful sand beach and the warm waters of the Northumberland Strait await you at Blue Sea Provincial Park. Just a few minutes down the road, the Blue Sea Provincial Park offers a beautiful wide, sandy beach and dune system on the Northumberland Strait. Park features include a change house and a small picnic area and short boardwalk to the beach. Birdwatching opportunities. Open seasonally from sunrise to sunset. For the golf enthusiast, there are three golf courses within proximity. Northumberland Links Golf & Country Club in Pugwash, Fox Harb’r Golf and Resort in Wallace and Brule Point Golf Course in Brule. There are many more courses within less than a one-hour drive. Located 10 minutes away, your vacation in Malagash would not be complete without a visit to Jost Vineyards. Daily you’ll enjoy wine tastings, vineyard tours, locally inspired gourmet fare at their Seagrape Café, and browsing a broad selection of wines and wine merchandise in the boutique. Carolyn is a fabulous host and there is everything you need to set up and feel at home. Thw kitchen is well stocked with everything from a lobster pot to a cork screw. I have never stayed in a home that was so well stocked! Some food items, essentials (eg toilet paper) kitchen items (sieves, tons of utensils, cutlery, pots, pans, baking items) I can't think of anything that was missing. Home was spotless! We enjoyed two deer and a bear, lovely sea views and sunsets, all in the backyard. Tatamagouche is a lovely little town with some good restaurants. The Jost Vinyards were great with wine tasting and a cafe. The Blue Sea Beach just a short drive up the road was beautiful and Sandy. Great place for a picnic. Don't hesitate to book here. We were a group of 6 ladies this time, most of us over 80. We played several card games, ate tons of food and laughed a lot. We all slept well in the comfortable beds. The kitchen is stocked with all the utensils you need to cook with. The large deck has great furniture. It was beautiful weather for June so we were able to have coffee on the deck every morning. We saw several deer including a newborn. Unfortunately, we did not get to see the mother bear and her cubs this year. If you are looking for a quiet place to stay for a family gathering, this place could be what you are looking for. Carolyn is great to deal with and is quick to respond to any questions. We plan to return this fall. It has become our home away from home. ##### Sharon P. Our stay was more than comfortable and relaxing. The property is very private on multi acres of land, treed and colorful with superb water views. The home contains all that one needs and everything was easy to find. We had some minor trouble with the television and a finicky internet password, but a co-host was available to help troubleshoot and we were all happy campers. The location is lovely with the Jost Winery only 10 minutes away, A spectacular sandy beach (Blue Sea Provincial Park) minutes away. Townships as short and scenic drive away with many amenities. Our host was remarkable! Carolyn could not have been more hospitable and understanding of our needs. Her communication and flexibility made our stay that much more welcoming. This is a must stay property! We will be certain to return and are already talking about booking for a few times and lengthier stays next year. Thank you Carolyn. Thank you Shanda! The kitchen is equipped with everything you need to prepare a full-course meal. We are a party of 6 women who try to spend a "long weekend" at this lovely home twice a year. Carolyn is very quick to respond to any questions or issues we have. The only thing to be aware of is -if you plan to spend time on your electronic devices, the cell service may be a bit weak. That was not a problem for us as we went there to enjoy each other's company. It is fun to see some of the wildlife that passes through and to listen to the birds in the mornings while enjoying a coffee on the deck. We felt right at home and everything was clean and the beds were comfortable. After just coming from Hubbard where we home bound because the Hurricane Lee it was so nice to look at the window and the water was calm. The road into the house is rough and many pot holes, but it was worth the trip. Canada is taking recycle to another level, but its great when the house was supplied with garbage bin and label.
