Please reach out with any questions. A heads up this Airbnb is part of a duplex, but we ensure you will feel right at home! The Space: null. The Neighborhood: Places in walking distance: The Furman Aquatic Center features a lazy river, slides and diving boards and is just a 10-minute walk west of the property. Right across the Aquatic Center, there is a path that will lead you to Brookside Park: where you can find basketball courts, sand volleyball pits, shelters with picnic tables and large open spaces for any activities you can dream of. Short driving distance: North Grand Mall and Downtown Ames are great places to shop and are only a 5-minute drive from the property. North Grand Mall has great chain stores: American Eagle, Ragstock, JC Penny and more! North Grand Mall is also home to North Grand Cinema - where you can enjoy a movie and buttery popcorn with luxury seating. In the summer, Downtown Ames has a farmers market every Saturday. If you're not visiting in the summer, Main St has many different shops to browse and places to eat! It was so strong that my CPAP still smells like it a week later.The mattress, pillows, and sheets are all very stiff. The mattress crinkles because it's covered in plastic. I ended up sleeping on the couch.Also, the hand soap has a very strong unpleasant smell like potpourri. I had to wash my hands with different soap to get rid of the smell. I reached out to the property manager and property manager's assistant multiple times without reply or just an automatically generated reply message. One of my concerns was about a car being parked in the driveway and me being unable to park at the property. I tried messaging through the app, phone call, text messaging, and got no reply. There were some iffy characters hanging around. The apartment is very small, and there's no air conditioning vent in the bedroom. The apartment needs a dehumidifier because it smells musty and mildewy. The most aggravating thing is the super loud central air. Also, there were expired cooking oil and some other food items in the kitchen cabinets. Please dispose of them because you don't want your guests to get sick. This 1 BR efficiency Vrbo was perfect for us. Although there were two of us, the property has a lengthy comfortable couch and and air mattress for an extra person. Full kitchen with plates and cookware. Bathroom was clean and stocked with supplies. Not a huge space, but totally fine for a place to sleep comfortably and cook your own food.
