Enjoy your stay in this comfortable home, in the heavily wooded, small town of Alta, CA. Just a 5 minute drive, is a beautiful community pool in Dutch Flat. Fishing is great at near by lakes such as Fuller, Rollins and Spalding. Emerald Pools are a must visit, for hiking and swimming in the river. Ski resorts are just 30 min East on hwy 80\. Tahoe is 60 minutes and Truckee is 35 minutes. Historic Colfax is also 15 minutes away on I80\. Relax next to a cozy fire and read a book in this quiet home. We hope you will enjoy this peaceful mountain hideaway located on the edge of the Tahoe National Forrest. \*\*\*\*\*\*\*\*SNOW WARNING\*\*\*\*\*\*\*\* Seasonal unpredictable inclement weather would often require snow chains to get to this property. We are located above the snow line. MUD AND SNOW TIRES WITH ALL WHEEL DRIVE OR 4 WHEEL DRIVE VEHICLES ARE OFTEN REQUIRED BY CHP AND CALTRANS ON I80\. BETWEEN THANKSGIVING AND MEMORIAL DAY UNPREDICTABLE AMOUNTS OF SNOW MAKE IT CHALLENGING TO GET TO THIS PROPERTY AND ALSO UP THE STEEP DRIVEWAY WITHOUT CHAINS. We will work with the proper equipment to remove snow on the driveway prior to and during your stay as necessary. TV with DVD player and HDMI input. Driveway is between Bonnynook Rd intersection and american flag. Home is very clean and well equipped for your stay. Hosts are very accommodating and friendly.
