Remote but the drive was beautiful. Gravel for the last mile or so. You only see a few other properties from the site. Quiet. Beautiful. We were excited to see about 40 scaled quail and an elk! The building was clean and had all we needed for our 2 day stay. Comfortable sleep number bed. Shower was warm and decent pressure. Cleaning staff was great. It is definitely remote but those stars you could see so vividly. Bob is informative and really nice by messenger. Owners were not present during our stay but regardless it wouldn’t have been an issue for me. Glad we pre-bought our snacks/drinks because there are no grocery stores or gas station near by. We drove to Big Bend everyday to hike and we bought a couple of things from a small grocery store to cookout at the house versus eating out, we loved the setup to cook and star gaze at the same time. It Is a drive to and from the park but what you get at this house versus what’s to rent in Terlingua Definitely out weighs it.
