Lic1971 Hello! Welcome to this brand new adorable cottage on Lake Brophy in Alexandria, Minnesota. Newly constructed in 2020 with a white/blue coastal chic vibe and nautical décor. Three bedrooms, 2.5 baths. Sleeps nine. In-floor heat through out the main floor means your feet are always warm. Master bedroom has king size bed and en-suite master bathroom with granite vanity countertops, towel warmer, soaking tub and separate tiled shower, and a large walk in closet. The master also includes a large sliding door out to the lake. Bedrooms upstairs, share a full bath. One bedroom has two built-in full size beds and a free-standing queen bed. Ideal for either children, teens or adults. Second bedroom has a queen bed and plenty of space for a crib or pack ‘n play, and another walk in closet. Upstairs bathroom has tub/shower, vanity, and large linen cabinet. Kitchen has all brand new Whirlpool appliances, refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, range, microwave. All new custom cabinetry with granite counter tops. Surprising deep blue farm-style sink is the focal point of kitchen. Expansive center island with 4 bar stools. Large table in dining area seats 8 and more. Living area has spectacular windows with lake views facing south east with lots of sun and beautiful sunrises. New queen sofa sleeper and loveseat face the gas fireplace, with stone hearth and rustic mantle. Vaulted ceilings with wood beams add to the coastal décor. Large TV above fireplace makes a cozy place to stream your favorite shows and movies. WiFi is included. One of the best features is the set of walk-out glass doors to the stone patio which includes a brand new gas grill and a heavy wood patio table. You may want to bring a few folding/parade style chairs to sit outside. Flat walk out from the cottage to the lake with only a few steps down to the dock. Easy water access for swimming, kayaking, canoeing, paddle boarding, or for small children to splash and have fun in the lake. There is a bench swing to relax in and watch the fishermen on this quiet little lake. Clothesline to dry your swim suit and beach towels. Main floor incorporates large front loading washer and dryer in laundry room, with utility sink and folding area. Guest 1/2 bath on main floor has vanity sink and easily accessible stool. The cottage also comes equipped with towels, dishes, glasses, silverware, cooking utensils, pots/pans, detergent, paper towels, toilet paper and Kleenex. Kitchen has coffee maker, toaster, and basic cooking items. The Alexandria lakes area has much to offer during all four seasons. Lake Brophy County Park is a newly constructed park on the north side, 5 minutes from the cottage. There is a large sandy swimming beach, and a huge playground with new play equipment and zip line, a wheelchair accessible kayak/canoe entry, and a large fishing pier. The central lakes trail is adjoining the park with miles of paved trails for biking, rollerblading, running and walking. The hills also have mountain biking trails. In winter these trails are groomed for snowmobile and cross country skiing. There are sledding hills and an ice skating rink at Brophy Park as well. This is a fabulous place to bring the whole family any time of the year. This cute cottage on Brophy Shores has a brand new dock as of summer 2022, with an attached bench to enjoy the quiet bay. There is a fire ring and new blue Adirondack chairs to sit around the campfire. We are conveniently located within walking distance to Brophy Bay Mart which has a gas station, liquor store, and small convenience store with groceries, bait for fishing, newspapers, and ice cream for the kids. You can easily stop by to stock up on forgotten supplies or extra firewood for evening bonfires. Also, nearby Brophy Resort on the north side of lake offers pontoon and fishing boat rentals. Come and enjoy this quiet neighborhood lake cottage for your next vacation with family and friends! Non-smoking. We had 7 people and there was plenty of room for all. Lake Brophy is a weedy lake so I was happy we had a boat as the weeds in front of the dock made it difficult for the kids to fish. Communication regarding check in and needs during the stay was easy and answered promptly. The listing is very accurate, the home is comfortable and located close to everything you might need. Our only issue was that the weeds made it impossible to swim at the beach or off the dock. It may not be an issue earlier in the summer, but a large part of the reason we chose this house was for the swimming. The open concept great room was a wonderful gathering place for our family, we really enjoyed the soaring ceilings, wall of windows overlooking the lake andthe two story stone fireplace. The kitchen was stocked with multiple sets of blue and white dinnerware, glasses, serving pieces and placemats/napkins, allowing us to set beautiful tables, which was a bonus! We really enjoyed the cottage's lakefront access, fishing/boating dock with bench, tree swing and fire ring area. We all enjoying watching and hearing the loons as well. The location was great as well, with easy access to our favorite spots: all the beautiful lakes and restaurants, Country Blossom Orchard, Carlos Creek Winery, Northmen Brewery, Copper Creek Brewery, Central Lakes Bike trail, Brophy County Park - with its playground, swimming beach and fishing dock (caught lots of fish there). We rented a pontoon from Lake Darling Resort and enjoyed exploring Lake Darling, Carlos and Le Homme Dieu. The full wall of windows facing the lake offers gorgeous views throughout the day and really makes the property. The layout and rooms are great for family, with two bedrooms setup for couples and one equipped with three smaller beds for kids. Nice firepit, chairs, and swing outside provide relaxation spots. The biggest complaint is that the dock is a bit unstable and has no railing, so could be dangerous for some. Also, there are no provided water toys (kayaks, paddleboard, etc.) which would be a nice addition. ##### Chris K. The cabin was very clean, had everything we needed, and had more than enough room for the six of us. We enjoyed swimming and sitting on the dock or tree swing most of the day and ended every night at the fire pit. The kids are already asking when we're going back. ##### Ryan P. Plenty of indoor and outdoor spaces to gather as a family but also spaces for privacy for all family members to take needed moments of solitude. Host is very responsive to questions and process of check-in/out very quick and convenient. We will definitely stay here again if we find ourselves back in our home town for an extended period. ##### Brenda M. The lake home we usually rented was no longer available to us. This home was a perfect spot to start new traditions. The home is beautiful, spacious, beds and sheets were very comfortable, house was very clean, and had beautiful décor. My boys LOVED the kids room with the built in beds. The home was VERY well stocked with kitchen items. The only downside was, I would almost say the kitchen was overstocked with items like coffee cups and plates and not enough things like Tupperware and bowls. Additionally, because the cupboards were so full, we had no cupboard space and we had to put all our dry food on the counters. Additionally we ran out of paper towels as there was only 1 1/2 rolls upon our arrival. The location of the home to the lake was awesome! The lake was a short distance from the home. The dock is very nice with a bench at the end of it. The sunsets on this lake were breathtaking! Fishing was good as well. Only down fall was there was no provided place to clean fish and the only thing stated was you can't clean the fish in the house. If you are not going to allow guests to clean fish in the house then I would just recommend having a place to do or at least provide a table to clean them outside. All in all, I highly recommend this home for your next lake vacation. You just may need to bring a table for cleaning fish but you will not be disappointed! ##### Stephanie D. Celebrated my son’s wedding at Carlos Creek Winery and our stay was perfect and this house….oh my it’s so beautiful! The view is amazing and so close to the water. The home is beautifully decorated and has just about every household item you can think of! The big windows with the natural light are incredible and the tree swing is so relaxing!
