Villa Melanesia is an excellent holiday option, located in Galé, just a few kilometers from the center of Albufeira, with quick access to the region’s finest beaches. It offers the perfect combination of comfort, modern amenities, and a privileged location, ideal for relaxing without concerns about traveling. The living and dining room is spacious, bright, and comfortable, with windows offering spectacular views of the outdoor area, including the pool and the sea beyond. On the ground floor, there is an en-suite double bedroom, along with a guest bathroom, complemented by two bedrooms on the first floor – one double and one with two single beds – both with private bathrooms and access to balconies with stunning views of the sea and pool. The lower floor features a bedroom with two single beds. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped, providing convenience for family meals or gatherings with friends. Outside, there is a spacious leisure area with a snooker table, table tennis, and other games, ideal for fun moments in the open air. The large terrace includes a private heated pool (additional cost), sun loungers, lawns for relaxation and an outdoor dining area with a barbecue. The property is fully enclosed and offers parking facilities. Situated in a quiet area within walking distance of the beach, shops, bars, and restaurants of Albufeira, Villa Melanesia guarantees an unforgettable holiday. The changeover day for this property is Thursday (however, there may be flexibility in low season). If your flights are already booked or your dates are fixed and do not match the property's changeover day, please send us an inquiry before booking to confirm if your dates can be accommodated. This property is self-catered. For your convenience, welcome food baskets can be booked in advance (additional cost). Pool heating is always an added value for your holiday, especially when traveling with children. When the pool heating is activated, the water temperature will always be 5ºC to 8ºC higher than it would be without heating. Renting a car is not essential for your stay, given the property’s location. However, if you wish, we will be happy to assist with the car rental. We can also arrange transfers if needed. Group deposit: € 200 per guest (payment by credit/debit card). Please note that the occupancy for this property is 8 guests From the 9th to the 14th guest, an additional fee will be charged, which includes additional beds. The most serious being that we had an intruder break into our villa, in the middle of the night. Luckily we heard him, saw him and scared him off before he took anything. We are confident all doors and windows were locked before we went to bed so we don’t know how he broke in. We were understandably very shaken and quite traumatised from the experience. We felt incredibly dissatisfied with the response from the local team, local police and Algarve Vacation. Nobody came to check the property, nobody changed the locks and the police fobbed us off multiple times. We had an alarm but we were never able to get this to work. For these reasons, I don’t feel able to recommend Villa Melanesia to others due to concerns over safety. If you have already booked, please ensure you receive more detailed instructions on how to use the alarm as the instructions in the online welcome page are minimal. I would also recommend checking if the locks have been changed and what the company have done to ensure this won’t happen again. We received no such reassurances. ##### Hannah I. That doesn’t leave much room for sun beds but there is a little grass if you need area for baby to crawl about. 2 umbrellas. Plenty of cutlery & plates but not enough mugs for 8 people in the morning. Check in was efficient & comms with the agent was brilliant - every query answered within 30 minutes. Beach is 10 min walk (beware seaweed as others have said) and lovely bar/restaurant there. All other restaurants were a 15-20 min walk I have 2 complaints - we were given incorrect WiFi details but a bit of working it out got us to where we need to be. 2nd complaint - I have never slept on a bed so hard - it was like sleeping on my dining room table with a sheet on it. Pool was perfect temperature wise even without the heating, nice grass area large enough for a small game of keep it up with a football. Good location a walk away from a small beach, big beach, restaurants in the town, a nice sports bar and convenience shops. Ubers are fantastic in this area on demand and usually arrive within about 5 minutes of ordering, allowing easy access to albufeira and further. Spacious enough bedrooms even with 10 people. Pool table, table football and table tennis provided entertainment as well as a lovely outdoor grill overlooking the sea. Got the instruction for the key pad code 1 hour late. We were charged for some towels which had already some of the spots that were reported by manager. Make sure you take pictures of all towels and linens because you run the chance that you will be charged for replacements like we were. We never thought of reporting the stain spots thinking that it looked like normal wear and tear which generally refers to the expected deterioration of a rental unit as a result of the tenant's everyday use. This can include things like loose doorknobs, worn out carpet, towels, and minor scratches on the walls and floors. Also, I should had taken pictures of the water quality of the pool which was poor and had many green algae spots. This was reported to Steve on our arrival. Maintenance showed up a few days after our arrival to clean it and added some chemicals. The pool was not the greatest when we left. Furthermore, the fire detector started beeping during our first night in the villa. The battery had to be taken out at 2AM in the morning. We reported the issue by e-mail and was told that someone would come to replace the battery which was never done for our entire stay. I feel that the charge for the towels is very close to a scam. Some of the spots shown on the pictures(towels) were already there. honestly, they look like the normal wear and tear which generally refers to the expected deterioration of a rental unit. ##### M G. The villa is exactly as advertised and in a good location to supermarkets, restaurants and the beach. Staff were really friendly and very responsive we we had a couple of.issues. Pool is a good size and worth paying for the heating in April. Walking distance to the beach and a few bars and restaurants. Local supermarket very expensive, worth a longer walk to Aldi or spa. If unable to get an early check in, it’s worth looking at Scooby’s bar/pool. Will provide entertainment for the day aswell as having a luggage storage area. As a big family holiday for my birthday i wanted everyone to be comfortable and with the 4 ensuites and great living space this was spot on. The pool was a great size and we loved playing pool by the pool. Fabulous breakfast cafe by the supermarket. Lovely restaurant on the nearest beach 5 minutes walk away. Could not fault the location. There were 10 of us and at no time did we feel on top of each other. The rooms were spacious a nd spotlessly clean., with lots of space for clothes etc. There is a well.equipped kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine and iron. Out side There is a fabulous pool which was cleaned during our stay. There is a lovely terrace with tables and chairs. here was a bbq which we put to good use. The Management Company was very prompt and was an excellent resource to help navigate tours, travel and restaurants.
