(Pool & jacuzzi can be heated for additional cost of 200 Euros per week/part week for the pool and 70 Euros per week/part week for the jacuzzi.) Perfect for families, the huge living room boasts a TV, pool table and football table. Table tennis is also available by the swimming pool. There are 6 bedrooms (2 of these bedrooms are in separate annexes to the main house). The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven, gas hob (1 electric ring), fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, as well as all utensils, pans and crockery needed for a self-catering stay. There is also a washing machine in the laundry area. There is a bedroom on the ground floor with large double bed, fitted wardrobes and en-suite shower room with walk-in shower. Stairs lead to the lower ground floor where there are 3 further bedrooms (which were all refurbished in 2024) and all have fitted wardrobes and private en-suite shower rooms. Bedroom 2 and 3 have double beds and bedroom 4 has two single beds. Bedroom 4 can be accessed externally separately or via bedroom 3, as there is an adjoining door making this room ideal as a family room, if needed. Then, there is a further bedroom with large double bed in the annex (separate to the main house). This bedroom has its own TV, large en-suite shower room and fitted wardrobes. A further bedroom is located in another annex by the swimming pool (also separate to the main house). This has a double bed and private en-suite shower room. Air conditioning is available in the living room and bedrooms, there is Wi-Fi and also a safe in the main house. The villa has been designed to make the most of the outdoor areas and boasts large lawns, a huge swimming pool, sun terraces, outdoor kitchen area, charcoal BBQ and private Jacuzzi. Entrance to the villa is by electric gates and the gardens are completely walled. There is ample parking for several vehicles. By the pool side are table and chairs for al-fresco dining. Travel cots are 25 Euros per reservation and baby chairs 10 Euros per reservation. All facilities of Villa Quintinha da Balaia, including the swimming pool and Jacuzzi, are for the exclusive use of renters only. The Swimming pool can be heated for 200 Euros per week (or part week) and the Jacuzzi for 70 Euros per week (or part week). The local beach (Maria Luisa) is around a 15-20 minute walk and the 9 hole golf course of Balaia is just a 2 minute walk away. Ideally located, Villa Quintinha da Balaia is a short walk to the lovely fishing village of Olhos de Agua, with shops, supermarket, restaurants and bars. Airport transfers can be arranged (extra charges apply). This is a self-catering property. We do not provide any cleaning products except for a small starter pack, therefore it is your responsibility to purchase or bring these items. We will provide toilet rolls for each toilet but these are not replenished during your stay. The property is located 200 m from Balaia Golf Village golf course, 1 km from Intermarche supermarket, 2 km from Olhos de Àgua city, 2 km from Maria Luisa Beach sand beach, 3 km from Olhos de Agua Beach rock beach, 10 km from Ferreiras train station, 35 km from Aeroporto Faro airport. Please note, we do not accept reservations from youth groups 24 years old and under. Een week hier verbleven met 6 volwassenen en 2 kinderen. Zij hadden een paradijs om te spelen en te zwemmen. Good communication prior to visit and I must say very clean on arrival . Helen the manager was very good and took us round the villa to show us how everything worked etc. Enjoyed the jacuzzi which we had heated - we didn't have the pool heated for our stay - although it was cold getting in , I must say it was lovely once in and for us glad we didn't pay for the heating - some others may have a different opinion ( we did visit July so it was hot ) . Enjoyed playing table tennis - decent table and bats, and also chaps enjoyed the games inside. There was an issue with the light by the pool during our stay - maintenance chap came the same day and all fixed very quickly. Always a sign that they keep the villa maintained and keen to ensure everything is tip top. Local area was nice , with some lovely restaurants in the village . We had a hire car and I must say I think you need one really. May have struggled re the shopping otherwise. My only suggestion is that we bought a couple of floats for the pool - left them behind so hoping others enjoy their use - for the price of the villa I do think that perhaps this sort of item should be provided. Also a small welcome pack would be a nice touch. We had a great time and if you book this villa it really is a super place to stay. The McKee Clan ##### Alison M. The rooms were huge and the grounds were amazing. It had everything you needed for your stay and it was really clean. We took 3 children with us and they loved all the extra games, like the table tennis and pool tables. We had a great pool competition one evening. Helen and the team were really nice. We took full advantage of their taxi service which was good value for money and flexible. I have taken one star away because it was a bit more remote than we are used to and took about 15 minutes to walk to the nearest shops and supermarket. It offers everything you wish for and even more and all the team is really friendly and helpful. The villa itself contains 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms (one on suite). All bedrooms are very good size and the beds are really comfortable. There are plenty of storages which is really helpful. The bathrooms are very good size too and there is a massive bath in the downstairs one. The living area is amazing and we all enjoyed the pool table and the football table. The kids enjoyed the PS4 (keeping in mind that you need to pay to use it but not too expensive and it is a good way to manage the playing time). The kitchen is really nice and well equipped. We also used the annex bedroom which is just perfect, well equipped and plenty of space. The swimming pool is just perfect, very large, it gives lots of space to play or swim. The shallow part is in a shaded area which is great for the kids at the hottest hours. The Jacuzzi was a new addition this year and it was wonderful to have is after long days of visiting. Our advice is to ask for both the swimming pool and the Jacuzzi to be heated. Sunbeds are really comfortable and it was nice to be able to have some shade from parasols or from the lovely palm trees. It is really nice to have a dining area and BBQ near the pool as well as an extra shower room and toilets there. There is also a fridge which is really convenient to avoid going back to the villa each time. We also really enjoyed the outside dining area near the villa at evening time when it is a bit more windy. The garden is beautifully managed and the view is really nice. One of the best thing about this villa as well is that it is located in an area which is almost the middle of the Algarve so you can easily access all villages and areas to visit. There are so much to do in the area, you can organise some very busy days but when you come back to the villa, you will enjoy a really peaceful and relaxing environment which is so nice to make your holiday just perfect. The villa is close to lots of restaurants and shops, supermarket which is really convenient. Thank you so much Nuno and Helen, we had an amazing time. Séjour de 14 nuits en juillet 2017 ### 10/10 – Excellent #### Joel H. 11 mars 2017 #### Amazing stay We booked this villa for a short break with friends before christmas, it had an amazing open plan kitchen and living space with all the essensials, there was a pool table, table football, table tennis which kept people entertained. The pool area was really great complete with outdoor kitchen complete with BBQ and pizza oven. We had the pool heated which was warm anough to swim even in december. I would say that the listing for this villa does not do it justice and it exceeded our expectations. We would love to come back again. Thanks for a lovely stay. ##### Joel H.
