« overall a great place. superb views and comfortable sleeping for all the family. quiet and private setting. some minor things could be improved, (soap dish bathroom) (tongs for cooking) (general instruction book about the house) (some doors broken etc) but to be honest these were minor to the fantastic time we enjoyed here. would recommend to anyone in a heartbeat. many thanks- we had a great time. »

« The house was perfect for our family of 5. Very well maintained and plenty of room kids and adults alike. All the amenities are in good condition and there’s everything you need for a lovely stay. The location was perfect. A stunning view over the valley, lots of sun and just a short walk into Akaroa. I had a couple of queries of my own making and Dave was super helpful and really responsive…an excellent host. »

« Frances was more accommodating than any host we’ve encountered in any country. She met us upon arrival, explained a few things, made two restaurant reservations for us, changed one on the day of, provided directions, rebooted internet immediately, and left cream for our coffee. She even had fresh flowers throughout the house. Her place is a perfect location to sit and watch all the port and harbor activity, walk to several restaurants and cafes, but easy to take tunnel into Christchurch....

« I don’t generally like to write negative reviews but after reading all the 5 stars review in felt I should share my experience. We had room 62. The view was nice the room was like in the picture. But the state of the room was terrible, the carpet was full of holes and stain the space between the bed and the wall was about 6 inches you have to crawl sideways. There was a dirty rag left on the bathroom floor but the cleaning people. For 300$ NZD for the night we were not expecting a 5 star...
