A Wonderful Birthday Stay at Riu Plaza Toronto My stay at the Riu Plaza Toronto was exceptional from beginning to end. The staff greeted us warmly the moment we arrived, and check‑in with Victoria was smooth, friendly, and welcoming. The hotel itself is beautiful, but the service truly made my birthday unforgettable. The hot breakfast buffet was delicious, and the hostess surprised me by greeting me with a cheerful “Happy Birthday!” The restaurant team went above and beyond—coming to my table to sing Happy Birthday and presenting me with a slice of Dubai chocolate cake that was absolutely amazing. Later, our bartender Samantha crafted a special mocha martini just for my birthday, and it was perfect. Every interaction with the staff felt genuine and thoughtful. Overall, our stay was wonderful. The hotel is clean, modern, and the service is outstanding. I highly recommend Riu Plaza Toronto and look forward to returning.

Great hotel, great staff, great front staff, good food.

Great location & very spacious however, the beds including the mattresses, linen, pillows & covers were very dated & extremely uncomfortable. The house was not as clean as should be expected & we are doubtful that the bed linens were actually changed. We also found & disposed of a cockroach. The backyard also needs some serious attention and we didn’t feel comfortable using the hot tub or bbq. The foosball table is broken & the other equipment is not very sturdy. Overall, we were happy with the location & space.

This hotel exceeded expectations. The room with a couch and mini kitchen was comfortable, luxurious and clean. We had a fabulous view of Toronto and the location was perfect for sight seeing all of downtown. The staff was friendly.

Amazing hotel. The best stay we could have imagined in Yorkville Toronto for 5 plus days. It was magical.
