It is a 2 hour drive from Escalante on a dirt road where a AWD is highly recommended. However when we arrived at the parking lot area we couldn't believe that a Honda Fit would make it there, but there it was. :-) From the parking lot area it is a 5 hour hike (plus minus one hour, depends on your navigation skills) through the stony desert of southern Utah. The hike itself is already beautiful but the reward when you eventually arrive at Reflection Canyon is priceless. We were the only two persons out there and we didn't even meet someone on our way back the next day. Make sure you carry enough water as there is absolutely no water source anywhere.
