Blarney castle is a popular tourist site in Ireland, attracting visitors from all over the world to kiss the famous Blarney Stone and tour the castle and its gardens. The Blarney Stone is a block of Carboniferous limestone built into the battlements of Blarney Castle. According to legend, kissing the stone endows the kisser with the gift of eloquence. The stone was set into a tower of the castle in 1446. (You can only kiss the stone in an acrobatic position.)

« Truly amazing stay. Every single member of staff delivered customer service that was world class. Nothing was too much trouble. Food in the restaurant was fantastic. As was breakfast. And a quick lunch in Mikey Ryan’s. Rooms were fabulous. And the spa treatments were out of this world. Shame the Irish weather meant I only lasted a few mins in the outside bit of the pool but that didn’t take the gloss off an amazing stay. We will be back! »

Well located in Waterford county, the place is located at a few miles to the cliffs of Ardmore, to Dungarvan and close to the departure of the greenway (bike and walk) to Waterford. The Blarney Stone is a block of Carboniferous limestone built into the battlements of Blarney Castle. According to legend, kissing the stone endows the kisser with the gift of eloquence. The stone was set into a tower of the castle in 1446. (You can only kiss the stone in an acrobatic position.)
