![Railway Trail runs along the north side of the island.  As you walk, you'll go in old train tunnels, walk under tropical canopies, and stroll on the grass "sidewalks" until the trail picks up again. There are great views of the ocean, homes, and plants. 

In Bermuda, you are allowed to paint your house the color of your choice but the roof must be white. This is because there is no fresh water source on the island so each home harvests rain water to use in the home. The water is stored under the house in large tanks.

But why white?  The white used to be from lime mortar that has anti-bacterial properties, now the the roofs are painted white which reflects UV light from the sun and helps purify the water.

« Situé à 5mm à pied du centre d'Hamilton et du terminal ferry, le Rosedon hotel est un petit établissement calme qui offre un cadre agréable. Il dispose d' un très beau jardin et d'une piscine. « Nous avons adoré notre séjour. La vue et l’hôtel est spectaculaire! Le service est exceptionnel. Notre chambre était spacieuse et confortable. Nous avons adorés la navette disponible sur demande pour nous rendre à l’arrêt d’autobus, à l’épicerie, au traversier… Le déjeuné inclus était parfait et le souper 5 sévices disponibles était wow! But why white?  The white used to be from lime mortar that has anti-bacterial properties, now the the roofs are painted white which reflects UV light from the sun and helps purify the water.

"Nous avons adoré notre séjour. La vue et l’hôtel est spectaculaire! Le service est exceptionnel. Notre chambre était spacieuse et confortable. Nous avons adorés la navette disponible sur demande pour nous rendre à l’arrêt d’autobus, à l’épicerie, au traversier… Le déjeuné inclus était parfait et le souper 5 sévices disponibles était wow! Je recommande donc cet hôtel pour un séjour mémorable aux Bermudes. "
