"Unfortunately the bungalow 202, which we had booked in Sonai was very smelly so it was not acceptable for us to stay there for the 4 nights we booked. In general the Mumbu Sonai branch is pretty run down and heavily overpriced for what it has to offer. I have to say though that the staff was really helpful, especially Ayumi (arigato gozaimasu), trying to find alternatives during peak season which resulted in us staying in 4 different places for the 4 nights we spent on the island, which was ok...

"This was a great place to stay. The owners were super kind and helpful. The property is surrounded by nature and is quiet so you can listen to sounds of the animals and ocean. The village is right beside Sandy Beach which makes it easy to watch the sunset at night. Free parking as well. Highly recommend!"

"お部屋は掃除が行き届いており、とても清潔でした。家族4人(小学生2人含む)で泊まったのですがロフト付きで子どもが大喜びでした。 朝夜共に虫や鳥などの鳴き声が聞こえるのも自然豊かな所を探していた私達にはピッタリでした！ 夜はBBQをしたのですが事前にボリュームあると聞いてたので2人前しか注文しなかったのですが本当に食べ応えあっで追加しなくても充分4人でお腹いっぱい食べました。 星も見れましたし1月ですが蛍も見れました。 連泊しないともったいないです！"

"The rooms are nice though be aware that this is an unstaffed hotel. Fine for anyone fairly self reliant in Japan but I suppose anyone who would not be comfortable at an unstaffed hotel knows who you they are."

"We really like the location, it’s near the beach, but then we found out that beach has a lot of jellyfish, so we cannot swim in the ocean there.
