"We had a wonderful week in Villa Myrtia. The villa is situated in the middle of a small village with bakery, pizza restaurant and grocery stores just a short walk away. The drive to Rethymno is about 10 minutes and we went there a few times in the week. There are a lot of restaurants and bars in Rethymno with some superb fish restaurants on the harbour. The villa was cleaned throughout including fresh towels and sheets twice during our 10 day stay which was much appreciated. George and his family were very welcoming and were on call when we needed them.We would recommend the villa for a family as all of us had a great time."

"Joanna is a very welcoming and incredibly helpful host. Our flight was delayed and we had problems with our hire car booking with Europcar - they wouldnt allow us to move it to the following day, so we had to cancel or incur the full cost as a no- show fee.I texted Joanna from Manchester airport asking for taxi and car hire recommendations. Within 20mins Joanna had arranged a minibus to pick us up from the airport at midnight and a hire car to be delivered to the villa the next day.When we arrived at the villa, Joanna had also left some food in the fridge for us.The villa was beautiful, very clean and had stunning views. We had a fabulous holiday - thank you Joanna. "

"The photos do not do the villa justice as the views are amazing and is very private. We were two families with teenage children and it accommodated us all well. Lots of space and well equipt. Myron met us as we arrived and was on hand if needed when we messaged him. Would highly recommend the villa to anyone. Great taverna down the road who welcomed us like family and amazing food at very good prices. You do need a car as is remote but well located to visit the local towns. "

"We had the most wonderful two weeks staying at Villa Danna. The accommodation was perfect and immaculate. The family were all on hand to assist with anything we needed and insisted on re-cleaning the house and emptying and re-filling the pool after a freak Saharan dust storm. We had three animal loving kids with us, who were thrilled that the family dog was nearby (a short walk across through the olive trees) for strokes and cuddles, and Rosie the cat was often asleep in the shade somewhere. We loved the pool, the eating areas, the upstairs balcony with incredible views of the sunset and the table tennis table got plenty of use too. It was a good walk uphill to the nearest taverna or shop, which was fine for the younger members of the party but tricky for anyone with mobility issues. It was a short drive into Rethymno to lots of bars and restaurants. We would definitely stay there again, after a wonderful two weeks of relaxation and sunshine. "
