Our neighborhood is all gravel. For those not use to mountain roads, note that our roads are wider than many other mountain getaways we looked at purchasing in. Road courtesy is to allow the cars coming UP the mountain to have the ability to keep moving forward for continued momentum, so if you are coming down you pull off to the side on the nearest wide spot used for this very thing. The cabin will be the first driveway on the right once you reach our street. The covered front porch and wrap-around deck promise true relaxation surrounded by nature and the soothing sound of a neighboring rushing creek. Numerous windows allow natural light and views of wildlife and nature from every room. Step inside to a spacious living room with stacked stone gas fireplace – and well equipped for electronic entertainment (HDTV, 53 cable channels, DVD, and new Sound Bar.) You will also find a collection of board and card games, DVDs, kids’ books and toys in the cabin available for your use and Free WIFI. The Rustic table for 8 in the dining room and seats for 3 at kitchen bar. Nicely appointed kitchen with all of the necessities – as well as a few fun extras like a French press for the coffee connoisseurs, a blender (smoothie or Margarita anyone?) and flip Belgian waffle maker. Enjoy the nicely furnished "BEAR" Bedroom featuring an outstanding view of the sunrise over Rich Mountain as well as the side deck and hot tub. Serta perfect Queen bed. My husband , dogs, and I had such a great time at this cabin! It's private and secluded yet close enough to downtown Boone if you would like a night out on the town ! Theresa was so helpful and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The views were wonderful and the cabin was just what we needed. The cabin is secluded and quiet but a short drive to anything you need. We enjoyed the hot tub looking out to the mountain, using the grill, going up to the bald, and sitting on the porch taking in the nature. I would recommend this stay to anyone who wants a nice getaway away from the hustle and bustle. We will definitely plan to stay again!! ##### Lillie A. I spent every evening listening to the owls hooting and the birds singing. The management is awesome as well, very communicative and helpful! Convenient to Boone and Banner Elk areas so lots of dining options as well as hiking, tubing etc. Drive up the mountain is a bit steep and long, would be pretty tricky in the winter without 4WD. Feb 12, 2015 #### Great view and very relaxing Our stay in your cabin was great. We enjoyed the amazing view especially at night from the Hot Tub. My fiance and brother in law both went to Appalachian State so we spent a good portion of Saturday of venturing around Boone and letting them talk about old times. That is a very nice campus that has a lot of neat places. I would definitely recommend Rich Summit View to other people looking for a relaxing stay and awesome view. The homeowner had provided everything we needed for a wonderful vacation in the mountains... Wifi, gas logs fireplace for perfect ambiance, hot tub overlooking the view of the mountains, gas grill - we cooked out one night, and comfortable beds. We rambled through downtown Boone, but mostly stayed in at the cabin. Everything was clean and we can't say enough good things. We'll definitely be back! ##### Wendy R. Jul 5, 2018 #### Super cute, very clean cabin hideaway Lovely stay - didn't want to leave - cabin was the perfect size for our family of 3 and our dog. Deck and hot tub had a lovely view - well stocked - Trek up to the cabin was a little scary at first (glad i have an AWD sport utility) but we got used to it as time went on. Cabin is on a mountain/neighborhood with gate access only so that was a plus. While there we were blessed with lovely weather and took a trek up to the top of the mountain with our dog and went tubing on the New River (highly recommend) - Relaxing trip - would definitely recommend - Thank you! ##### JoAnn A.
