![A novelty gas station built in 1922 along US Route 12. No longer operational, the pumps proudly display their last sale (1.87/gal). The station was hand-built by a local businessman as a contemporary jab at the Teapot Dome Scandal, in which Secretary of the Interior Albert Fall illegally leased oilfields in Teapot Dome, WY and Elk Hills, CA to private companies. Fall was found guilty of bribery, fined $100,000 and sent to prison.

Plans to restore and relocate the teapot to a park in downtown Zillah are underway.

« We had a great time. Richard and Rose are really awesome host. I had a medical issue on 3rd morning there. And Richard loaned us his blood pressure cuff. It was nice to know that Rose his wife used to be a nurse. We were blessed to have such good host. This is our second time using them. But all is better now.The photo i sent is from Silver Lake Winery. Beautiful place to sit have a glass of wine and relax. Not far from the Cherry Orchard where this VRBO is. Went to couple other wineries.Played...
