"The staff at this hotel were phenomenal. They were always pleasant and helpful. Rafa & Katie went above and beyond to assist with a last minute luggage repair necessity. The room was neat design/decor. Breakfast was perfect assortment of local and western selections. The location is right next to a night market but there was no loud noise or reason to be concerned with the proximity. There is a taxi stand and public transit busses & trains at the nearest intersection, Ximen Station. I was wanting to explore so I casually walked ~20 minutes from the Taipei Main Station to Ximen, which was easy, even with luggage. Taipei & the Westgate hotel are super foreigner friendly. "

"Right above the train station and a metro station about a block behind, so transport is very convenient. Car parking is included in room rates, but the car park is opposite connected by an overhead bridge. Carrefour is not too far away. Only drawback is I didn't receive my VIP benefit likely because they used self-check in."
