"Maison W far exceeded all our expectations. A beautiful, stylish, boutique hotel, which had everything we could wish for regarding top class accomodation. Our room was spacious, designed to a high spec with extra luxuries such as dressing gowns, slippers and thoughtful toiletries. The bed was comfortable and the wardrobes were roomy. The kitchenette had a 2 ringed hob, small oven and tall fridge and freezer. There was also a kettle, coffee maker and small selection of plates, dishes, glasses and cutlery. The lounge area had a comfortable sofa and a large tv with Amazon prime & Netflix, which matched the one in the bedroom. The aircon was amazing and very welcome. The plunge pool was small but a wonderful little distraction from the heat, surrounded by a handful of sun lounges with a parasol. The staff on desk were always friendly and helped us order taxis, and point out good eating places. Maison W is situated in a perfect location; around the corner from a supermarket and fast food kiosk, a few steps away from the waterfront and 20 minutes walk to UNESCO Kotor Town with its ancient walls, quaint shops and colourful history. The walk to town offers plenty of restaurants and places with mountain and water views, whilst sipping a cocktail or 2! "Staff helped myself and I with all sorts of issues efficiently including advice on public transport etc. The hotel was beautiful in a traditional yet stately way. Very in keeping with the history and location of the place. Fantastic views over the bustling square from the room and the breakfast terrace although you couldn’t hear a sound with the windows closed. It was very hot when we went in August but the room was always beautifully cool and air conditioning fab. We really felt we were part of Kotor old town here. Loved it. "

"The hotel itself was a 5 star. Great big rooms, comfortable beds, lovely pool with incredible views, a great private beach, two hotel dinner restaurants and some nice local restaurants to walk to for dinner too with a small convenience type store also nearby. The service was more a 3 star. It was a birthday trip and my partner had emailed the concierge at the hotel before the trip who had said via email that they had confirmed several things (a dinner reservation/cake/kayaking etc) when we arrived the reception said the concierge was on holiday and they did not know anything about the birthday things planned, so it appears the concierge did not book these things despite email confirmation from them. My partner had to ask at least 4 times to try and then book them again. It was difficult for something that should have been simple. One day the cleaning service only gave us 1 shower towel for 2 people. Another day the ice cream at the pool bar had all melted so no ice cream available from there. Another occasion the hot items at breakfast were cold (eggs, beans etc) On my birthday I got a nice card and small cake but this still took my partner asking many times. The hotel food and drink is pricey (€6 for a small coke). Every day they started playing music in the breakfast area at 7am before breakfast was even open, the noise woke me up every day and seemed unnecessary. Overall a really lovely stay and an amazing holiday and area, just not a 5 star service. "
