The building was built in 1895 in Prussian brick architecture and is now a listed building. In 2005 it was renovated, preserving the original style elements from scratch. It has, among other things still flooring, the original ticket office, old wooden doors and. The covered with small patches former platform now invites for relaxing barbecues with family and friends. Rehe, Hasen und verschiedene Vögel waren regelmäßige Besucher. Die Gegend ist sehr ruhig und ungestört. Es war ein guter Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge nach Berlin, Hamburg, Ratzeburg, Schwerin, Lübeck, Celle, an die Nordseeküste und viele weitere Orte. Die Besitzer waren sehr hilfsbereit. Das Haus selbst ist faszinierend und erinnert sowohl innen als auch außen an einen Bahnhof. Das Haus selbst ist einfach wunderschön gestaltet und super gemütlich eingerichtet. Man hat in alle Richtungen einen tollen Blick nach draußen, wobei es auch drinnen viel zu entdecken gibt. Die Küche ist top ausgestattet mit allem, was man braucht. Der Kontakt zu Familie Frerichs war unkompliziert und sehr freundlich. Abends kommen die Rehe bis ans Haus. Der Pool ist ausreichend groß, um Bahnen zu schwimmen, die Räume sind hell und lichtdurchflutet.Die Küche ist mit allem was man benötigt ausgestattet. Das Haus ist geschmackvoll eingerichtet und äußerst schön renoviert. Wir haben die Abende mit Grillen und Filme schauen auf der riesengroßen Leinwand genossen. Leider hatten wir an einem Tag unangemeldeten Besuch von einer Firma und auch ein Straßenbauer ist immer wieder auf dem Grundstück erschienen, was uns sehr gestört hat. Nachdem ich den Vermieter deshalb telefonisch kontaktiert hatte, kehrte dann aber Ruhe ein. Von diesem "Zwischenfall " abgesehen, haben wir uns ausgesprochen wohl gefühlt und würden das Ferienhaus auf jeden Fall weiter empfehlen. Das Bahnhofsflair ist erhalten geblieben und das große Kino und der weitläufige Raum in der ehemaligen Güterhalle sind einzigartig und bieten viel Raum für Yoga mit Ausblicken in die Natur. Von Bantin aus konnten wir schnell einen Ausflug nach Lübeck machen und auf dieser Seite des Schaalsees waren die Naturerlebnisse nochmals eindrucksvoller - die Alleen zauberhaft, die Vogelwelt sehr vielfältig und wir haben auch Raritäten entdecken können. Eine Location, die einfach alles hat. Auch die Abstimmung mit den Vermietern war immer prompt und sehr zuverlässig. Sehr empfehlenswert! ##### Kerstin G. Sowohl innen als auch außen hat man viel Platz. Der Bahnhof ist liebevoll renoviert und lässt keine Wünsche offen. In ein paar Minuten ist man am beschaulichen Schaalsee. Der Besitzer Herr Strathmann ist super freundlich, und der Kontakt war klasse! Wenn man sich in ruhiger Umgehbung erholen will, ist das Objekt hervorragend geeignet. Es ist innen wie außen alles toll gepflegt und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Unser persönliches Highlight war der wunderbare Blick aus der (übrigens bestens ausgestatteten) Küche.
