For that price I think it was a complete bargain. Location is great, no night clubs / chickens crowing next door so quiet. Instead it’s bursting with Stone Town character, amazing location, nice bed and bathroom with lovely staff. Be aware that they will charge you extra if you pay online under the excuse of “taxes”. It’s only hotel in Zanzibar that does that. I never had to pay any extras for taxes in any other hotel during my 10 days stay in Zanzibar . The hotel is also too expensive. The manager was not on site and the front desk was unmanned for extended periods.
