« My husband, our two dogs, and I got away from the hustle and bustle of Chicago to enjoy our time in the woods. The cabin was perfect for our family and was just the right size. Never felt too crowded. We roasted marshmallows and hot dogs on the fire pit and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. The cabin was just isolated enough that we let our dogs run around off leash and enjoy. My only complaint is the size of the bed was a bit small and firm. Nancy was great to communicate with and very responsive....

« We absolutely loved the space! Great for big groups/multiple families/kids. Great location in a quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed use of the fire pit, the bbq grill and walking the property/mushroom hunting. Check-in was a breeze. Would definitely stay here again. »

« Easy to find and check in. Had everything we needed to have a cozy Spring weekend. Just the right amount of space. No traffic on the short road and easy access to the river, Hodenpyl Dam, and lots of National Forest trails. Short jump to Mesick for groceries and gas was very convenient. « The Shed is a little gem in northern Michigan with close and easy access to Crystal Mountain, Arcadia Bluffs, and Sleeping Bear Dunes, among others. Off the beaten path but a quick drive to Bear Lake for groceries and other essentials. Perfectly cozy for my wife and me, but also would be good for a family with 1-2 kids or even two couples. « We had a short weekend getaway here and it was top notch. The hosts have thought of every detail to make the stay amazing. We stayed with our daughter (8) who is in a wheelchair and was pleased with the accessibility of the cabin. Our 4 year old loved the great selections of DVDs and games and toys. We thoroughly enjoyed the beauty and peacefulness of the forest. It was amazing to stand on the deck and see nothing but trees and hear NOTHING. Thank you for the wonderful experience, »

« Comfy, quaint cottage, better than a hotel room! Was clean and just as pictured. Worked out great for ski weekend for me and my teen. Can see Crystal Mtn from property. 35 mins from Caberfae Peaks. Microwave, refrigerator and Keurig offered meal flexibility. Coffee, sugar, creamers, and disposable cups supplied. The owner, Jacob, was communicative and responsive. Some things to consider: cabin backs to M-115 so can hear road noise. Traffic at night was very minimal. Sleeping loft does not have...

« Overall the home was very nice and cozy. Only issues were minor, some silverware had to be rewashed, personal communication was non-existant leaving it unclear how to ask questions for like finding extra blankets...which we never found. That said, we loved the place overall and would recommend to friends and family. »

« A few of us friends just needed a couple days to hang out and do some snowboarding at Crystal Mountain, which is right down the road. We have stayed here several times in the past it’s always been clean and quaint. The addition of the hot tubs is a plus and it makes it more luxurious. We will be back! »
