Ludicrous. I stay in hotels 50-60 nights per year for almost 30 years and I’ve never paid a fee for that service. Ludicrous. The food was mediocre at best. The front desk attendee was very hospitable, a warm welcome to our first time in Yufuin! Gems is a minute walk from the station / bus stop, and is located centrally to Yufuin town. The walk to Kinrin lake was beautiful, with views of the mountain on the street. The room we booked was incredibly spacious, and although designed for 4, did not feel too empty for 2\.
