Vous pouvez passer la journée à vous reposer et à explorer les sites du parc Yuexiu (Yuexiu Gongyuan). Ce grand espace vert d'une superficie de 86hectares est composé de sept collines et de trois lacs artificiels et comprend de nombreux monuments, sites culturels et musées.Faites une visite touristique de l'immense parc, déambulez le long des allées pavées, entrez dans les jardins, grimpez les collines et faites le tour des bassins d'eau.Arrêtez-vous devant la sculpture de pierre des Cinq Béliers, un monument populaire qui, selon plusieurs, symbolise la ville. Visitez les cinq étages de la tour Zhenhai, construite comme tour de vigie en1380, au début de la dynastie Ming. Aujourd'hui, elle abrite un musée qui expose des objets représentant 2000ans de l'histoire de Guangzhou. Le monument érigé à la mémoire du DrSunYat-sen vous permettra d'en apprendre davantage au sujet du premier président de la République de Chine, qui a gouverné entre1912 et1949\. Le bâtiment est aménagé là où se trouvait le bureau présidentiel avant que la Chine ne soit gouvernée par le parti communiste. À l'intérieur, des photographies et des documents illustrent la vie et l'œuvre de ce personnage important. L’entrée est payante. Sur le terrain du mémorial se trouve un grand capoquier de plus de 300ans qu'on croit être le plus vieil arbre de Guangzhou.Pendant que vous vous trouvez dans cette zone du parc, allez voir, derrière le monument, les 200mètres de vestiges de l'ancienne muraille de la ville érigée il y a plus de 600ans et fort bien conservée. Si vous souhaitez dépenser un peu d'énergie, profitez des appareils d'exercice gracieusement installés dans le parc. Louez un pédalo et laissez-vous envoûter par le calme du lac Beixiu. Le parc comprend également une piscine, des restaurants et un stade.Le parc Yuexiu se trouve au centre de Guangzhou et ses cinq entrées sont toutes desservies par de nombreuses lignes d'autobus. La station de métro Yuexiu Park, sur la ligne2, est tout près de l'entrée principale.
