There is a balcony that offers great view of the lake. The room exceeded my expectations. For breakfast buffet, it’s just a 1-minute walk to the Richforest hotel nearby. The spread of the breakfast buffet was decent and service was good. They were also very family friendly. I’d pick this one over the other Lealea site because it has elevators. They gave us a baby cot and it was great. I did see some mold at the bathroom. Great view of the lake. Comfortable beds. Very nice staff. Bike rental place just a block away. Riding e bikes around the lake was the highlight of our trip. Saw a large squad of monkeys on the bike path which we spent a long time observing and taking pictures of. Without an e bike it would be a struggle to go as far as we did. Street food in Sun Moon Lake was just so-so. Beautiful lake though. Took the ferry across the lake and then rented bikes to go to the temple which is super impressive. Xuan Zhang Temple. It is 6 flights of stairs from the bike path to the temple grounds.
