Guest Access: You will have the entire house and property to yourself. The Neighborhood: Sitting on 2 acres of hi-desert bliss! The Sommer Ranch is nestled in the Upper Sky Harbor neighborhood at the base of Joshua Tree National Park. Hiking is abundant near Black Rock Campground (NW corner of the national park), which is a 3-minute drive or 20-minute walk from our home. There is also beautiful hiking right outside of the door with trails that link to Black Rock Campground. The main entrance to Joshua Tree National Park is about 20 minutes away. We are 10 minutes from downtown shops, restaurants, and art galleries. Pappy and Harriet's is a 20-minute drive, and Palm Springs is 45 minutes away. Getting Around: Many roads in the high desert are dirt, so please take it slow. While a car is required to get around, a four wheel drive car is not. Other Things to Note: • MODPOOL AND HOT TUB HEATING: \- Your rental includes heating for the hot tub. \- However, during the cooler months, there are extra charges for pool heating, see below. \- If you want the pool heated during these months, please let us know 48 hours before you arrive. Extra Charges for Pool Heating: September and May - $100/night October and April - $200/night November and March - $300/night December - $300/night January and February: $150/night No jumping, diving, running or rough play near the pool and hot tub area. No glass can be around the pool and hot tub, there are plastic cups in the kitchen to be used outside. Please mind the quiet hours (no loud noises after 10pm). No intoxicated persons may use the pool or hot tub.
