Enjoy privacy, rejuvenation, and experiential hospitality. Sip your coffee at sunrise among native wildlife. Soak up the desert sun poolside, drink in the colors at sunset and gaze up at the starry sky from our private hot tub. Perfect for communing with friends. The Space: Our 3200 sq. ft. home has a beautiful swimming pool for staying cool in the abundant sunshine. Our hot tub is a great place to star gaze with a glass of wine, enjoying the beautiful silence of your surroundings. Our inner courtyard is heated in the winter for private outdoor space, along with an indoor fireplace and pellet stove for extra cozy nights. To overcome the dryness of the desert, we have provided a large capacity humidifier in the central part of the house, along with individual diffusers in each bedroom. We have also purified, soft treated water throughout entire property as well as Alkaline water on tap in the kitchen. We treat our home like a boutique bed and breakfast. We have 3 bedrooms, all with private bathrooms and their own entrances out to the property and into communal spaces. High Desert Paradise is the ideal location to visit all the natural attractions, boutiques, and best restaurants surrounding Joshua Tree National Park. Within minutes from Downtown JT, Downtown Yucca, Pioneertown and Integratron. Our neighborhood is a just a few miles from town, yet you will feel miles away as you drive up the mountain, along dirt roads with no street lights. Up here you'd think you were already at the Joshua Tree state park, as you view the beautiful trees of the same name, the incredible rock formations, and the abundant wildlife that are present on our 5-acre property and throughout the neighborhood. The vast views and minimal light pollution will give you some of the best sunrises and sunsets you will ever see, as well as the most amazing star gazing. Points of Interest: Downtown Yucca Valley- 10 minutes (5 miles) Downtown Joshua Tree- 12 minutes (7.5 miles) Pappy & Harriet’s in the famous Pioneertown- 13 minutes (8 miles) La Copine- 10 minutes (7.5 miles) Integratron- 18 minutes (14 miles) Black Rock Campground- 15 minutes (8 miles) Palm Springs International Airport- 45 minutes (36 miles) Getting Around: Our home is a 2.5 hour car ride from anywhere in the LA area and 45 minutes outside Palm Springs where you can fly into the International Airport serving many large cities throughout the country, Canada and Mexico. Trucks, SUVs, ATVs, dirt bikes, and other rugged vehicles will feel at home in the high desert. Be wary if you are driving a sports car or any vehicle that is low to the ground as the roads are rocky and ever-changing. We DO have UBER service here in the Morongo Basin. Inquire with your hosts if you would like to be shuttled down the mountain and around town for an additional charge. Other Things to Note: ◦ THINGS TO NOTE: Fenced yard: Not fully fenced Paved Roads/Dirt Roads: Dirt roads Outdoor Surveillance: We do have outdoor cameras for the security and safety of our guests. You may encounter desert ants, mice, coyotes, or if you’re lucky a bobcat. ◦ Authorized early check-in and late check-out are available at $50 per hour ◦ Additionally, any unauthorized late check-out beyond the 15-minute grace period will incur a $100 fee ◦ Items left behind will incur a minimum return shipping fee of $50, depending on the shipping address ◦ Pet Fee is $100 per pet \* We are unable to accommodate cats due to the owner's severe allergy. Appreciate your understanding! ◦ RULES: Noise ordinance: Quiet hours are 10pm-7am. No external speakers allowed. Smoke residue will result in excessive cleaning fees ◦ Restricted Areas: Any locked closet or room is restricted. If forcibly entered you could be held liable for any unaccounted for item. ◦ Hot Tub/Pool: Hot Tub Use: Please avoid using the hot tub immediately after it’s been serviced, as chemical levels are temporarily elevated. We have weekly pool cleanings, this day may fall on your stay and your cooperation will keep the hot tub clean and balanced at all times. Please rinse off any oils, lotions, or substances before entering the spa, as these can affect water quality and cause discoloration. No drinking in the hot tub, please. Be sure to keep the cover on when not in use, especially since we're in the desert and debris can easily get into the water. Any misuse of the hot tub may result in an additional charge for extra maintenance.
