Place is in a great location you can more or less get to the cloth hall in 5 mins
Manager/owner is a really nice guy and can give you any info you need rooms are fine
The little Indian restaurant on the same st is good
Conveniently placed for access to shops , museums , restaurants, walks .
Easy walk to Menin Gate for ceremony and reflections
Will definitely recommend this hotel
Rooms were clean. We were there for one night on a motorcycle and the owner allowed the use of his garage. Continental Breakfast was very good with good choices. Had a problem with late night entry but owner solved that.
Excellent location for the centre of town - parking was a little hit and miss but you should manage to find somewhere in town, none on site. Hotel is a little dated but everything worked fine and was clean and friendly, lots of hot water and pressure for the shower.
A above basic hotel, nice size rooms, friendly helpful staff member (we only saw the one), Breakfast was nice and fresh each day. We were able to lock our motorcycles out of the way in the hotels garage, which was a nice touch. The hotel is well situated for all the towns main square activities.

Hotel location is fantastic with access to the Grote Square and all the local attractions, restaurants and bars within a minutes walk. Menin Gate is less than 5 minutes walk.
Room was comfortable and has plenty of air with the windows open.
Free parking is available with a 5-minute walk away. Parking is free on the street right outside on Saturday after 6PM and all-day Sunday
Breakfast was continental and very pleasant with an assortment bread, hams, cheese, boiled eggs and juices
My only negative is that the rooms could do with updating and decorating but that is only a minor negative
I would definitely stop here again
I was delayed due to traffic accidents, but the staff were very helpful in guiding me into the property as reception was closed. Very interesting building inside with much to look at and ponder about. Buffet breakfast was generous and fresh self service with hot and cold options.
My second time staying here.
On street parking in front of the property, but charges apply and are limited to 3 hours during the day.
Some areas of the building are looking old.
But all facilities fully functional and room was well equipped.
Shower was very powerful and hot water is quickly on tap.
Friendly welcome on arrival and courteous an helpful throughout right till departure.

Location couldn't be beat but the hotel different
Could be an outstanding hotel in the location and size. But it appears to be run by time limited staffing, check in 4-8 breakfast 7-9:30
For what we esmted it was great, close to flanders museum, city square and Menin Gate. Breakfast was acceptable, everything all other hotels offer, but no more.
No kettle in room, no OOH desk.
Needs a clean tho, you can write in the dust on shelves.
Drawers in bedroom screwed shut??
Wardrobe doors fastened with too long screws??
Not a problem for one night, just makes you wonder. Overall a cheap hotel in a fantastic location that provides a service, no more than that
Very basic room with no proper window, so you can't see outside. There is a skylight in the roof with no blind so the sun comes in very early. Tiny offerings of shampoo and shower gel and the towels were extremely thin. One glass and one very worn plastic child's mug. My yoghurt at breakfast was out of date, which was only discovered when I had eaten it.
No attention to detail. Too many dusty ornaments around the place too. Everything was pared to the bone. The bed had a plastic cover under the sheet which made for a very hot and uncomfortable night. Guy on reception was very friendly and very helpful. Only a 2 hr window for checking in, so dont arrive after 18.00! We only chose this hotel as there was nothing available in Ypres for the night we stayed. During our Belgium tour, we stayed in 4 different hotels, all cheaper and much better value than this one.

Perfect location
Perfectly located 1 minutes walk from central square.
There was a very large crack in the window of my room which had been repaired with tape. Bathroom fixtures were dated and tired.
Be aware that there is a limited check in time from 16:00 to 20:00. We missed this in the details when booking the rooms and we were told there was no flexibility. Although we talked to some other guests who arrived late and managed to book in!
The hotel was adequate for my stay, was clean and tidy, breakfast was a bit disappointing, with it be just just a continental type (cold) it would have been better with a choice of hot, timings was of service was also disapointing, entrance was not until 1600hrs breakfast was 0800 to10 so that means if you wish to be some were say for 0830 you would have to for go breakfast. It also seems like a one man show that one probably why service was a bit poor.

Reception person was very helpful. Very close to Menin Gate. Pleasant stay.
This hotel offers the basic requirements of an old hotel, with its own charm.
The receptionist is very pleasant, and supports you during your stay.
This hotel is located only 200m far from the main place, with In Flanders Fields museum.
