Great Hotel

Posted 23-Apr-2018
Pros: The facilities, and also their hospitality, we got directions to a winery, and since we had reference cards from the hotel the tasting was free!
Cons: Maybe the breakfast, although it was very good.
Location: Shopping was really close, we got dinner at bouchon (across the street) and was a great recomendation.
Newly renewed, this hotel was a real surprise, great facilities, nice bedding, friendly staff.

Love the Location!

Posted 21-Jan-2018
Pros: Staff
Cons: Add bloody marys and mimosas back to the breakfast
We stay every year at Villagio, but were switched to the Vintage as the Villagio is under construction. We were giving the Villagio one more chance as we had thought it had gone downhill since the properties were sold. We were pleasantly surprised at how much we enjoyed the Vintage, though. The staff was super accomodating and friendly. We were glad to see Allen, the bartender from Villagio was there while the renovation down the street is underway. Might have to come back here even when Villagio is finished!

We didn't stay at the Villaggio...

Posted 3-Jan-2018
Pros: The complimentary breakfast, champagne and wine tastings.
Cons: The room is spacious but the closet was so odd and had very little space. A wardrobe or dresser would help remedy the lack of storage space.
Location: Right in the middle of town and ideal for walking to the many wonderful restaurants. We love the quiet, laid-back feeling of Yountville.
We drove up to the place was fenced in and clearly closed. Surprise! Unbeknownst to us we were rebooked to sister property Vintage Inn due to renovations at the Villaggio. We were informed by the front desk that the lack of communication was because we had booked through a 3rd party. The Vintage Inn feels a lot like the Villaggio with similar pool, water features and grounds. Midcentury modern style decor lobby and guest rooms. The room and bathroom were open and spacious with wood surfaces and rugs. The bedroom had a soaring open beamed white painted ceiling and a brick fireplace supplied daily with bag for burning. Oddly, the closet was very tiny-narrow & barely 5 foot tall. There were only two bed stands to hold clothing or items. The bathroom had walk-in double rain spout shower heads. Recently renovated, some of the detailing of the tile and grouting was poorly done but overall very nice. The exercise facilities are a block away and you have to walk 3 blocks back to the Villaggio for the spa. Breakfast in an adjacent building offered coffee, tea, juice, scrambled eggs, cold cuts, a few pastries, bread, bagels, lox, schmears, granola, yogurt and fruit. We saw a couple with champagne but didn't see where they got it. The staff worked hard to make our stay pleasant from taking care of the car to rebooking our wine appointment to take advantage of the complimentary tastings. Not as luxurious as expected for the price but still a lovely place to stay.

Relaxing and Peaceful

Posted 28-Dec-2017
Pros: Quiet, comfortable, clean and central location.
Cons: Extra fireplace bags in room.
Location: Everything if you like to eat, shop, drink wine, pamper yourself or excercise.
This is about as good as it gets for a romantic getaway that is close to all the joys of Napa Valley. The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable and the amenities are abundant in this central location of Yountville. Walking distance from fabulous restaurants and shopping. Will definately go back.

Pre Christmas stay

Posted 26-Dec-2017
Arrived in Yountville after driving for 1 1/2 hrs. Shocked to see a chain link fence around the Villagio. Saw their spa was open so we stopped in to make inquiries. Was advised the Villagio was being renovated. Not informed about this but staff person said we should have been when we made the reservation. Was told to go to their "sister" hotel down the street. Warmly received by the receptionist at the Vintage Inn and given a very nice room. No welcome bottle of wine in our room nor did the Vintage Inn have afternoon tea. They did have a great breakfast .. in par with The Villagio. Maybe will try other hotels in Yountville next Christmas.

Vintage House is lovely partner to Villagio

Posted 20-Dec-2017
Cons: Highway noise
We booked the Villagio for our first visit to Napa and a special dinner at The French Laundry. We were told a month before our trip that we would be at the Vintage House, a sister property nearby while Villagio undergoes renovations. Hats off to Vintage House, a high-end luxurious complex of spacious rooms, with fireplace, enormous bathroom, patios and even a swing chair to bask in the sun. The only criticism is some road noise from Route 29 which is clearly audible when the patio doors are open, but not a problem when they are closed. The location is perfect, along Washington Street and an easy stroll to the restaurants and MarketPlace shops, and Yountville is a short drive from St. Helena, Rutherford and numerous wineries nearby. The hotel also offers complimentary tastings at several vineyard tasting shops nearby.
