I loved my stay at the hotel which is located inside the beautiful Yosemite National Park. Customer service was exceptional. Regan at the front desk was very helpful with our room choice. The setting is spectacular in the centre of Yosemite and close to many trails leading to spectacular scenery. The hotel is beautiful and unique with plenty or areas to relax in, and the bedroom was spacious with lovely decor. I used to be a gm for a luxury historic hotel, so I am very familiar with the hospitality industry. The Ahwahnee is a beautiful property. The wait staff, valets and bellmen were excellent. The concierge was rude and rather snotty. (I believer her name was Michelle). The blankets/comforters on the beds were terrible, thin little things. We were provided with extra blankets, which helped. The room was clean, except for a stain on the sofa. The food in the bar was actually superior to the dining room, but in fairness, the dining room was limited to a buffet at the time of our stay. I would stay there again, but only if I got a special deal.
