This condo has been recently renovated with air-conditioning, an EV charging station, a 50-inch TV for watching DVDs only, and a well-appointed kitchen. Prepare a delicious meal on the barbecue and find ample space to relax after a fun-filled day on the valley floor. This property is located on the western boundary of Yosemite National Park, so you can hike directly into the park from the front door. It's situated one mile south of the Chinquapin intersection of Wawona Road and Glacier Point Road, at an altitude of 5,100-6,300 feet. Tunnel View is a 15-minute drive from the house, and there is a hiking trail 30 feet away from the driveway. For larger groups, this condo can be rented together with Oso Lodge upstairs. Things to Know During the winter months (affected months vary upon on the weather), all patio items are stored away. The grill will also not be available during this time. The entrance to this rental is located down the stairs to the left of the home. The WiFi can be spotty due to the mountain location, and guests may experience occasional outages or slower speeds. Guests should not rely on the internet service for streaming services or working from home. This home is located inside the Yosemite National Park gates, and staying here provides you with access to Yosemite National Park (no additional reservation needed!). However, guests will still need to pay to enter the gates. Frequent power outages we do not offer compensation for this, please be prepared Parking notes: There is free parking available for 1 vehicle. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The unit is well located (given you have to drive miles to get anywhere in Yosemite!), adequately furnished and equipped and was a comfortable place to stay for a few nights. As others have noted, you do get the people in the unit upstairs clomping about a bit a times, and the floor is quite thin. Low cost kitchen equipment (only two spoons, one big glass, a broken trash closet) and no basic food product (coffee, sugar, salt…) espacially in a place with no service 30 minutes around. It’s our first accomodation like that during one month in US. When I finally reached a person on their customer support line, they just kept quoting “their policy”. Worse still I keep getting more auto emails asking me how I enjoyed my stay. The lodge is larger than I expected. The living room area and open kitchen help create a social environment. Kitchen had everything we needed; pots, pans, utensils, etc. All of the kitchen appliances worked well. The outside grill was clean and had two full tanks of gas. The bathroom had plenty of space to move around without any issues. The shower was a great size and the water pressure was great. Shower had hotel style shampoo and conditioner which is a life saver if you forgot to pack those things. The bedroom was a great size and had extra pillows and blankets. You can use the tv for netflix and provided a blu-ray player with a few dvds. If you need an extra bed they provided a couch with a bed and a large futon. The place was perfect for 4 people.Only thing that we can complain about is the possibility of having noisy upstairs tenants. The kids were running around everywhere so we heard them throughout the day. But the lodge is not at fault for that, just a little bad luck.
