Welcome to Yosemite West! Imagine being able to enjoy world-famous Yosemite National Park by staying inside the park in your own studio. Privacy, tranquility, beauty are yours right here inside Yosemite. When staying with us - we will take care of Day Use Reservation required to enter the park in the high season. We are at 6000 feet altitude - cooler in the summer and snowy in the winter. It is closest you can be to Glacier Point and just about ten minutes away from Badger Pass Ski Area which has it all - from getting here to renting equipment to taking lessons. There you'll find groomed trails perfect for cross-country skiers, chairlifts that take Alpine skiers to the top of the runs in minutes, a challenging terrain park for snowboarders and skiers to test their limits, and a tubing area where the whole family can experience the thrills together. We have several nice walks just around the village, fore example - Henness Ridge Fire Lookout. This lookout was the second built in Yosemite and was still in use in the 1980s. It was designed in the National Park Service Rustic style, and is one of only four similar structures in California, with the Crane Flat Fire Lookout being the only other in Yosemite. Yosemite West is a small unincorporated community of resort homes located just off Wawona Road, a continuation of State Route 41 from Fresno. You will know right away how quiet and remote it is. We do not have fast food, rely on the car to commute - we go for the groceries into Village Store and for the gas to Wawona. Rain or shine - we are sure you will find your peace here in the heart of Yosemite! Do no travel if you are sick, or if someone in your household had had coronavirus in the last two weeks. Do not travel with someone who is sick. AT THE GATE (RESERVATIONS): A reservation will be required to drive into Yosemite National Park from May 24 through September, 2025\. We have you covered! When staying with us we will take care of the reservation and there is nothing required from your side. All vehicles entering Yosemite National Park will be required to pay the park entrance fee. Upon showing proof of your reservation and a matching photo ID at the entrance station, you will be issued a vehicle permit to enter the park. TRANSPORTATION: There are no shuttle buses (Yarts) in Yosemite West. The closest stop for Yarts is in the valley and in Wawona. There are no Uber, Lift or taxi as well. As of today valley free shuttles are disabled. Don't forget your GROCERIES! The last stops for groceries are in Oakhurst (Hwy. 41), Mariposa (Hwy. 140), Oakdale (Hwy. 120 from Modesto) and Lee Vining (Hwy. 120 from the eastern approach to the Park - SUMMER ONLY !!!). There are two small markets approximately 25 minutes travel time from here, but are less reasonable and have a more limited selection (confirmed open and working starting June 13, 2020). ROAD CLOSURE: Please, be sure to call 1-800-427-ROAD (California Roads) and 1-209-372-O2OO (Yosemite National Park Roads) for most updated road conditions. CHAINS: IMPORTANT! In winter, EVEN WHEN THE ROADS ARE CLEAR AND THE SKIES ARE BLUE, it is mandatory that you carry tire chains in your car, EVEN FOR 4-WHEEL-DRIVE VEHICLES. If you do not have them, and you encounter an inspection roadblock, you will be turned back to buy chains before you will be allowed to proceed. Chains are often required on roads both inside and outside of Yosemite from November through March, less often in October and April, and rarely in September or May. Winter driving restrictions are enforced in Yosemite! Park Reservations: We guarantee park entrance for our guests even with the same day reservation - just present your Photo ID and go! Weather: snow, rain, ice, wind and smoke may happen, yet Yosemite gets mostly stable and beautiful weather. Full Kitchen: fridge with freezer and ice maker, stove with oven, microwave, toaster, kettle and coffee machine are provided. BBQ grill with Side Burner is available right outside on your private deck. Mobile Communication: In Yosemite West you will have reception for Verizon and spotty Sprint only. ATT will not work, unless you are in the valley. Internet: We have received brand new StarLink Satellite Dish from Elon Musk! You will get unlimited data and yet StarLink is in beta so WiFi may become slow at times. Entertainment: 55' TV+Apple TV with growing collection of more than 50 most recent pre-downloaded movies and series. Streaming HBO, Netflix, Disney+, ESPN, Hulu and Apple Arcade with best games. Dish Satellite High Definition choice of channels. Cooling/Heating: We have added window AC in your suite (seasonal May-October) - You will have a full control of it. The heating is central - send a message to adjust. In addition - The fireplace in the studio can be used for ambiance and heating (bring your own wood). Breakfast: boiled eggs, yogurts, cheese, muffins, bagels, honey/jam, butter will wait for you ready to go in the container in the fridge. Views were Spectacular! Alexey is a fabulous host… Answered my slew of questions leading up to the stay. The property was extremely clean, comfortable, with great amenities, including breakfast. My favorite was having coffee on the porch swing in the morning. My daughter and her boyfriend absolutely loved the softness of the sheets and soft blankets. What a delightful stay at Nila & Alexey's YoBee suite in beautiful Yosemite! Nila kept in touch from the moment we booked until check-out to make sure there wasn't any problem or issue. We were pleasantly surprised at such an immaculate suite with so many extras (throw blankets, snacks, spices, coffee, tea, quality glasses, dishes, etc.). Loved having dinners on the deck with table, chairs & swing! We highly recommend YoBee & would stay again. Don't look anywhere else, you'll be so glad you booked with Nila & Alexey! ##### Debbie S. We may have misread the listing, but thought there would be one queen bed and there were two! So nobody had to sleep on the couch or sofa bed. The balcony has so many great places for sitting and eating, and the kitchen was full of tasty treats and stocked great for bringing or making your own food. We enjoyed being barely inside the park-no need to get in line to enter every day!-and far enough away from the crowds in the valley. Comfortable, clean homey and very well equipped. The snacks and relaxing sunset helped rejuvenate our bodies after a long day of hiking. By far the best appointed vrbo that I have stayed in.
