Kitchen: The kitchen is stocked with pots, pans, cookware, cups, silverware, and more! Our housekeeping team provides salt, pepper, and a can of cooking spray for your use. Occasionally, previous guests leave behind items such as spices, aluminum foil, or ziplock bags. You're welcome to use any of these, but please note that our team does not check for or restock them, so we can't guarantee what will be available. If these items are crucial to the success of your vacation, we recommend bringing them along to ensure you have everything you need. We try to clearly state this in the listing so there are no surprises. Linens: Did you know that our vacation homes are among the few in the Yosemite area to feature professionally laundered linens? For every reservation, all linens are cleaned in commercial-grade washers using hypoallergenic detergent that's stronger and more effective than typical residential options. They're then pressed at 300°F—nearly twice as hot as a standard home dryer—to ensure the highest level of cleanliness and freshness. It's an extra step we take to provide a truly clean, comfortable, and welcoming stay. Bunkbeds: Please note that due to California Worker's Compensation restrictions, housekeeping will not be able to make the top bunk prior to arrival. Fresh sheets, bedding, and pillows are absolutely provided for it though! Fireplace/Firepits: No open wood-burning fire pits, bonfires, or campfires are permitted at short-term rentals. Charcoal grills of any type are strictly prohibited. Guests shall not bring any personal grills, barbeques, or other outdoor cooking apparatuses to the short-term rental; only those grills, barbeques, or other outdoor cooking apparatuses provided with the short-term rental are permitted to be used as installed and in the location installed. Pets: This property is pet friendly! Please be sure to add your pet to the reservation during the booking process so the $100 pet fee is applied automatically. This is a one-time fee for the entire stay (not a nightly charge) and covers up to two pets, which is the maximum allowed. We kindly ask that pets are kept off the furniture, are not left unattended in the home, and are always leashed when outside in accordance with county ordinance. Pests: Please note that this property is nestled in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains, offering a wonderful connection to nature. While we take regular preventive measures, including professional pest control, occasional visits from local wildlife—such as ants, spiders, insects, mice, or cobwebs—can occur. If you notice any of these during your stay, please let us know so we can promptly address them and ensure your comfort. Neighbors: Please do not trespass on the neighboring properties. We appreciate you respecting the local neighborhood! PLEASE return any furniture you may have moved during your stay (especially outdoor chairs). 5.) Most importantly, please note our checkout time is 11am, not 10am like over 80% of vacation homes in our area! Our housekeeping team runs on caffeine and tight schedules, so they sure do appreciate you leaving on time! Oct 20, 2025 #### 5 A lovely return visit for us that did not disappoint! We enjoyed the outdoor gathering options in the shared clearing, eating outdoors and enjoying the morning and evening light. Plenty of wildlife to observe including the Raven pair. Cozy and warm with a rustic vibe. The nearby hike to Swinging Bridge is a must do along with Meadow loop and Chilnualna Falls. The Mariposa Grove is nearby and Glacier Point is on the way to Yosemite valley. Make sure to walk across the covered bridge to the kid favorite History Center. Beautiful setting and home. Our stay was a highlight of our trip. What a wonderful home in every way from the rooms, variety of dishes, gas grill, outdoor seating and setting, etc. loved the quiet neighborhood and access to river and hikes. Apr 26, 2022 #### Guest Review The perfect Yosemite vacation! We could not be happier with the cabin, location and hosts. The cabin was absolutely beautiful, very spacious and comfortable. There is also a fully functional kitchen with everything needed. The grounds around the cabin are perfect for outdoor activities, grilling and games. The location is almost as close to Yosemite Valley without being in the valley itself and is also peaceful, quiet and private. Will definitely stay here again next time we visit! ##### Eytan D. Our family has been coming to Wawona for over 50 years and this was our first time staying on this side if the river. We rented both Peace of Mine and Place Called Home together which gave our family the space and togetherness that we look for in our gathering. Access to the river is excellent from this location. The cabin land is quiet, well maintained and inviting. Hammocks, piano, and corn-hole games are a big plus. Our kids loved playing here and our dogs were joyous. The large deck and dining table at Peace of Mine was perfect for our family dinners and hangouts. The historical bedroom in Place Called Home was like visiting a piece of California history. These cabins helped to bring forth the magic of Wawona and the peace of Yosemite's mountains. I look forward to going back. ##### Melissa T. ### 10/10 Excellent #### Charlotte J. May 14, 2025 Liked: Cleanliness, check-in, communication, location, listing accuracy #### Inside Yosemite in May less than an hour to Valley Arrived from FL through Fresno (FAT) Airport which is 1.5 hrs. drive to the cabin, stopped at Hillside Supermarket (28420 Yosemite Springs Pkwy) on the way for groceries, it's the last well stocked one from Fresno. Cabin directions and location are excellent! Inside Yosemite between the Mariposa Grove and Glacier Point Rd, about 50 minutes to Yosemite Valley area and Curry Village. We had 6 adults with plenty of room and the property sleeps 9 with good privacy and accommodations. Kitchen is well stocked just as listed and very clean and comfortable. We had easy access to Yosemite without having to worry about entrance lines and reservations each day (which begin later in the summer). Also hiked Hetch Hetchy reservoir to Wapama Falls which was about 1-1.5 hrs drive away. Our group hiked to base of Half Dome, valley floor to top of El Cap via upper Yosemite Falls (took 12 hours), Mist Trail to Vernal Falls and down the John Muir Trail, Mirror Lake, etc. We saw deer near the property and were able to see bears at Mirror Lake and upper Yosemite Falls, coyotes in valley, a fox and a weasel. The owners are responsive and good communicators. There is a ‘sister’ cabin for rent too so you can have a larger group comfortably. I highly recommend this cabin!! It’s hard to know what’s a good location until you go and this was perfect. At the base of the cabin road is a gas station and little grocery for used up or forgotten items. This cabin is a 15 minute drive to the Mariposa Grove of Giant Sequoias, 35 minutes drive to groceries (Oakhurst), 2 minute drive to a smaller convenience store. About 40 minutes to Curry Village in Yosemite which was very close to many incredible hikes. The cabin itself was super cute, quiet and comfortable. Communication with hosts was very easy.
