After a long day on the road from Death Valley with snow coming down at an increasing rate, our arrival at Gull Lake Lodge was eagerly anticipated. We were not disappointed. Located in the June Lake area, the lodge is conveniently located with several options for food and drink. Perfect for families.
The no contact check in to the June Lake Suite was super easy and once inside we were welcomed by a clean, cozy and comfortable apartment. Well appointed for our family of three, we had everything we needed to make our stop over perfect.
Highly recommend this property. we will be back for summertime fun.
We had a wonderful time in June Lake while staying at the Gull Lake Lodge. The room is basically a one bedroom apartment, clean and efficient with everything thoughtfully provisioned for a comfortable stay. The bed was comfy, plenty of linens and extra blankets, large screen TV was a nice bonus and the kitchen is well stocked including spices and plenty of coffee. The Lodge sits between June and Gull lakes, just a short walk to either, and the village is completely walkable and adorable - good food, souvenir shops, gear and supplies, rentals and gorgeous scenery abound. The locals are very friendly and helpful and the ski park is just a short distance from the Lodge for the perfect get-a-way amy time of year.
Well-maintained, comfortable, property. We had a ground-floor two double-bed room that was spacious and clean, with bedroom, living room, kitchen (stove, oven, full size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, pans, plates, utensils), and a dining area. Would gladly return.
I made my reservation online and was quoted a price of 198 including taxes. When I checked in at 9:00pm I was told there would be an additional $14.00 charge for making my reservation through an online booking system. I think ALL fees should be quoted up front and not bait and switch should be used. Especially on a very tired traveler that just wanted to get to the room and relax.

Sorry for the misunderstanding, the extra fee of up to 20.00 per night was stated on the booking page when you booked the reservation and noted in a pre stay invoice that was sent to you. We apologize for any confusion
Wonderful! Even though Expedia let me book 2 nights, 2 nights were not available in the same room. I would have had to move and put my stuff in my car for 4 hours. Staff went out of their way to move people around and clean rooms quickly so we could stay in our room!!
Having a full kitchen was great! The housekeeper and the grounds keeper do a great job!!! The front desk staff is very friendly. Great location between Gull Lake and June Lake. Easy walk to everything. We will definitely stay again and again!!!!

Thank you so much for taking the time to let us know that you enjoyed your visit to June Lake and all was good at Gull Lake Lodge. We appreciate 😊
Owner Doug Is rotten. During a 395 road closure due to accidents from a blizzard before, my family and I had to stay in Bishop. He calls me to say there isn’t an issue for us to not make the check in day, since there is a family who was staying in our room and can’t also leave due to road closure. BUT they would re-do my reservation and cancel Expedia’s so they don’t get charge commission YET still charge me for the booking/administration fee! The next day, we make it to Mammoth but all operations were shut down and power was out and again was informed by CalTrans that it was not safe on the 395 and part was closed again. Anyway, the owners don’t care about you and whether you and your family had to sleep in your truck because all rooms in the town were booked up. Instead, to add injury, they cancel my entire reservation and said I forfeited my 2 day deposit. They said I was playing a game. Weird! I had to just have them charge me a day even though we couldn’t make it. Money hungry, nickel and dime you. Also, I was not informed that they go into your room/cabin. They don’t even make your bed, just go in and put more towels. But we didn’t ask for any. Odd. Felt invaded/snooping. Then they reduce my $100 cleaning deposit. I was charged $23 for Small chip bags in room, 2 unwashed cups my kids left in sink and 2 dirty towels. Greedy and have trust issues! Beware no refunds or mercy.

The details in the review are grossly misstated. The road was open at different times during this period as most of our guest were able to check in. If the Tinios had not stopped to ski Mammoth ( which was open) they would have been able to check in on their second night.
The towel charge was for 1-bath 1- Hand 1- was clothes damaged beyond repair ( photos available.) Doug

This person never arrived. This was a no show.
He has never spent a night at Gull Lake Lodge.
We had 5 others check in that night.
How can he evaluate our rooms or service ?
It was great having a full kitchen. Very close to Jun Lake and June Mountain Ski Resort. The staff was very friendly.
Our stove was leaking gas which was very concerning. Also, the heater made it very difficult to sleep because every time it stopped it made a very loud creaking sound for several minutes. We had to make sure the heater was turned off before bed or it would make the loud noises periodically through the night.

Customer turned of main gas supply to both heater and stove . Then failed to light pilots when he turned them back on.

Very welcoming staff. Super attentive from the moment we checked in! They had the room nice and ready for us. The temperature outside up in the mountains is very cold so the heater was on by the time we got there the room was nice and cozy. The room is big and spacious with a kitchen , small living room, clean bathroom. The only thing is that there’s no tv in the bedroom but we brought our tablet so we watched videos on it. Overall the location was very calm and quiet. Plenty of parking space and peaceful environment up in June Lake. Highly recommend this hotel. We had to leave a day early because our baby was fussy.

Thank you so much for letting us know your stay with us at Gull Lake Lodge was comfortable. We appreciate the comments. Thank you again.
Perfect for us (2 adults, 1 3 year old, and a standard poodle). Kitchen in great condition, bathroom facility was immaculate (and had the largest tub/shower, hottest water, and best water pressure of any dog friendly place we've stayed).
Was able to easily carry my float tube to gull lake marina to fish, 5 minute walk to the brewery, onsite very clean fish cleaning station (without any yellowjackets)

The ground floor king suite had a full kitchen, which was great as it allowed us to prepare meals. Chris was a pleasant, informative host. The location was easy walking distance to the lake and marina.

Your original reservation rate was based on 2 Adults per the information you provided.
There is a $20.00 per night fee for additional adults.
The $44.80 is the fee at $20.00 per night plus 12% Transient Occupancy Tax for your additional adult guest. (This information was provided in your confirmation.)
This was also explained by Susan at the time of your arrival when 3 adults were noted on your arrival form.
Very clean with all the comfort of home. There's plenty of space for a family of 5. The location can't be beaten because it's walking distance to Gull Lake. Parking is never a problem, and the internet is surprisingly fast.

Thank You !!! We are happy to know your family enjoyed their stay with us at Gull Like Lodge
A simple kitchen where you can prepare a meal. Clean bathroom. Front desk was friendly. A place you can stay if you want to explore Gull Lake and June Lake, aside from Yosemite park.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know you enjoyed your stay in June Lake at Gull Lake Lodge. We look forward to your return :)
1. There is no A/C in the room. Room temperature was in the 80s when we were there. It was very uncomfortable.
2. The shower water pressure was very low, making evening shower difficult and morning shower impossible.
3. They hang bloom, dust pan, and flyswatter in the bedroom closet. It is not only disgusting, but also health hazards especially during this Covid-19 time.
4. The pots and pans are so old that cooking with them was like seasoning your food with nonstick coating.
5. The TV is very small. My computer screen is bigger than that.
6. The price listed is deceiving. Even after paying for your room on Hotels.com, you still have to pay some ridiculous hidden fees when you check in. Have you heard of Administration Fee? These fees could be up to 40% of their listed rate on the website.

We feel this attempt to hurt us is directly related to the fact that the guest failed to register additional guests and were asked to pay additional fees which they complied to. All of this is documented in the reservation request, and the signed arrival form both of which specifically states 2 adults only when in fact it was a party of 4. The entry and use of the facilities is also documented on Gull Lake Lodge surveillance cameras.
