Situated high among the pine trees, Bird's-eye Vista is a lovely spot to relax and enjoy the quiet beauty of nature. It's not unusual to catch a glimpse of wildlife such as deer, coyote, chipmunks and birds. You will enjoy a bird's-eye view of pine forests and the Merced River Canyon. Now with air-conditioning for the upstairs 2 bedrooms, living room and kitchen. The downstairs bedroom and den do not have air-conditioning. Relax on the spacious deck, patio and bedroom balconies and enjoy glorious sunsets. Enjoy views from every room, in the cozy living area near the gas fireplace and even from the king-sized bathtub and the enclosed glass shower in the master bathroom. Located just minutes away from most visited sights in the Park! The driveway is on a slope with a narrow parking spot at the top. There's room for at least one more car on the driveway. Cement steps, about 12, lead up to the house and there are stairs inside.. so be prepared for a bit of exercise on arrival. If you don't mind the extra steps, we believe you will find Bird's-eye Vista as peaceful and delightful as we do! Welcome to our new mountain home! Enjoy all the comforts of home when you stay at Yosemite Bird's-eye Vista. Spend the days enjoying the many wonderful sights and adventures of Yosemite. Then leave the crowds behind and in minutes enjoy the peace and tranquility of home. Charming! Cozy! Full of Surprises! A nature lover's dream, the cabin is filled with sun light and lovely views from every room, deck and balcony. Spot birds and chattering chipmunks from the decks and if you are lucky, be awed by some of Yosemite's other wild animals. Be inspired by the mountains, forest and glorious sunsets in front of you! Fun for couples and families! Large windows and French doors await you for admiring the views. The house is cozy and well equipped with quality bedding, games for children and adults, CD's and DVD's for your enjoyment. Whether it's snowshoeing and sledding right outside your door or stargazing and grilling on the deck, your stay will be a trip to remember. The parking spaces are at the very top in the narrow area by the cement steps. There's room for 2 cars to park in this narrow lane. For unloading passengers and bags, feel free to park midway so you have more room. After unloading you can then move your vehicle up into the parking area. Its somewhat steep and the elevation is 6,000 feet so be aware you may feel out of breath. We find that sort of bucket-brigade approach to unloading makes it easier... one or two brings supplies to the house and others brings them upstairs to the living areas. Take your time, and enjoy the birds eye view! When exciting, back up carefully until you can proceed forward down the other side of the horseshoe - its is steep so go slowly and be aware of the dip at the bottom. While Bird's-eye Vista is situated on a mountain slope to take advantage of the expansive forest views and the Merced valley, a bit of patience and neighborly cooperation is so appreciated. This location was so cental to our stay in Yosemite. Half way to every where. The place was so quite, inside and ourside, just great. Six of us stayed and it was perfect, lots of room and privacy. I could not make contact with the property host through VRBO and never received any communication. After contacting VRBO Help, I was directed to a 3rd party property manager (Scenic Wonders) who was very helpful in getting me the check-in instructions and other property details (the property had been taken down from VRBO and I could not access details any longer). Once check-in was straightened out, the location and house were very nice. No A/C, but fans were provided. The bedding situation was a bit misleading with a futon mentioned in one bedroom that was not present. Would sleep ten comfortably, but understand that one sofabed is in the main living area. ##### Rick M. Being in the park we were a short 30 to 45 minutes from most of the great hiking trailheads. I would have given five stars if the parking situation was better and if the instructions on where the business center was located were better. We were also unsure what to do with recyclables upon departure. The house was very clean. Beds comfortable. View very nice. Lack of wifi can be considered a plus for those wanting to disconnect from the news for a bit. ##### Mark T.
