We ended with handicap room which was great because it was very spacious. I think this was the first hotel we have stayed in that started breakfast at 7am rather than 6 or 6 30. We like to be on the road as soon after 6 as possible. We skipped breakfast.

The Sunrise is outwardly a motel with the exterior corridors, but the room furnishings (bed, bathroom) were hotel quality. It had none of the shabbiness one usually sees at a motel. With our two small kids, the room's kitchen with burners, fridge, small sink, and basic dishware and pots would have made a longer stay very comfortable. The picture window view of the beach and ocean were a great way to start and end each day. The deal they have with the Lobster Cove restaurant (either a free hot breakfast that was a fixed menu or $6 coupon per person), which is a short walk away, is great. We ended up ordering freely off the menu and for 2 adults and 2 kids and a generous tip, our bill was always about $10-15 for a very delicious breakfast. We could hear some thumping (jumping?) from a room upstairs, but other than that it was very quiet.
We had a minor issue. Repairs were needed in the hotel kitchen below our rooms. The banging started at 7am but management was on top of the issue. They are going to refund that night's stay. Manager was great!
Here's a message for Expedia...Our rooms were upstairs, several flights, I am somewhat handicapped so it took me quite a bit of time and effort to reach my room. You should be advised that these rooms are not handicapped accessible and pass it along to the patron.
The staff was friendly and helpful on the phone and in person. The parking was plentiful. The entrance was pleasing to the eyes. The lobby was welcoming. The room was on the small side but clean and comfortable. Food was excellent. The location was very convenient to access the highway (95) and local roads. The fireplace sitting room was very relaxing and you could easily meet other people.

We stayed in the newest edition. The rooms were prefect! We had and two room suite and it was spacious the bathroom was huge and the shower was so nice! The beds were comfortable and clean. I would without a doubt stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a nice get away on York beach!
Motel offered an ocean view as advertised. Dated location but I know we paid for the ocean proximity. Would have considered this way overpriced if it was located anywhere but at the beach. Over all it was good. The WiFi was terrible, hard to connect to and unable to email, download or get on line although it said we were connected. Terrible phone reception at least with AT&T which is not their problem, makes me reconsider my phone carrier again.
