Beautifully designed, the full apartment has premium furnishings and a high standard finish. You’ll have full access to the apartment which includes a kitchen, open plan living and dining area, double bedroom and shower room during your stay making it perfect for couples retreats and solo adventures. The Space: The open plan living, kitchen and dining room is packed with style. You’ll find a luxurious comfy sofa in front of a flat-screen TV making it the perfect place to retire to after a busy day exploring all that York has to offer. Behind the living space is where you’ll find the dining table with chairs. Fully-equipped, the modern and shiny kitchen has everything you need to make the most of your self-catering stay. The bedroom has pops of turquoise and mustard to create the ultimate tranquil space. Boasting a comfy double bed with premium bedding and linens, you’ll enjoy your nights sleep at Fern. The bathroom features a spacious shower, WC and basin. With a fresh feel to it, the space is modern and clean. Guest Access: Guests have access to the full apartment and the keys to the property are accessed via a secure key safe and full details will be provided shortly before your arrival date. Parking is available on a first come, first served basis in a nearby public car park. The Neighborhood: Placed perfectly half-way between London and Edinburgh, York is a stylish hotspot with more attractions per square mile than any other destination in the UK. Discover over 30 world-class museums as well as hidden attractions off the beaten track. Enjoy amazing restaurants, bars and pubs along with independent boutiques and big-name stores. From the ancient walls of Roman York to the grandeur of Georgian York, the city is packed with history and charm. Explore The Shambles - a cobbled street which is lined with Elizabethan buildings – where you’ll find a mixture of shops and eateries. Be amazed by the 7th century York Minster and the stunning views from the Central Tower which leads to the highest point in the city. Step outside of the centre and you’ll uncover a haven of woodland and moorland. The beautiful Yorkshire Dales, North York Moors and Wolds are right on the doorstep so you can enjoy long walks in the countryside. If you fancy venturing further afield, Leeds is easily accessible via the A64\. Alternatively, you could hop on the train and be there in around half an hour. Harrogate can also be reached easily by rail in under 40 minutes. Getting Around: Fern is a short 9-minute walk from York city centre so getting around can be done on foot very easily. York train station is less than a mile from the apartment and has direct routes to Leeds, Harrogate, Manchester and London. There are plenty of bus routes throughout York and these cover the city centre, suburbs and many surrounding villages within the City of York. Tried to connect to the property WiFi but even using 4 devices could not even find it let alone connect. The agent tried to help but was not able to sort it out. So, cost me a bit having to use data to hotspot off. Place was in a quiet area not too far from the city centre. Property was OK as a base for exploring York and that's what we did. Probably wouldn't stay again if we go back to York. I could describe it as 'cheap and cheerful' but it wasn't, so I won't. ##### Garrett S. Location was great and only 5 mins from the centre of the city. VRBO site says parking is a first come first served basis but this was not the case as access to car park at apartment was only for permanent residents. As I’m disabled I picked this because of parking. There was a car park near by which can be expensive.No instructions for central heating but 2 portable heaters supplied. 1 heater was attached to extension cable which could be a fire risk. Needs a better privacy curtain at door as neighbours can still see in above smoked glass section. Previous reviews from last year pointed out the same issues which have obviously still not been addressed. Overall we did enjoy our stay and would recommend. ##### Elaine B.
