The kitchen was adequate for preparing meals. Our family was comfortable here and we enjoyed the large space with the family table. We had one maintenance issue with the clothes washer that was sorted promptly. It was good to know we could contact someone and the issue received attention. There is a small bakery nearby (great coffee & pastries) and City Centre is literally a few minutes away. We traveled by train and the property was just a 10 minute walk. We would be happy to return to Aycliffe on a future visit to York. ##### David W. Plenty of room to relax and have our own space after a day of exploring York. It was very clean and well equipped. The neighborhood was quiet and the beds were comfortable so we were able to get good sleep during our stay. Washer and separate dryer were very helpful as we needed to get some laundry done during our stay. Kitchen had all needed amenities. Walking distance to the Shambles, Castle York, and restaurants and pubs. Communication with the hosts was prompt when needed and we appreciated the easy parking on the street.
