No body scrub?
Our room was clean as we had expected. In other hotels we have stayed at, body scrub/towel were provided along with the bath/face towel, but there were none at this one. Nevertheless, it was a great stay overall.

the hotel is so accessible to everything from shopping places to different restaurants. there are also a lot of pachinko if you want to try your luck. the hotel price is the best, so cheap and reasonable. would love to go back and stay again.

Hotel during Rugby World Cup
This is a fine hotel, in an excellent location. Our only complaint was being told one morning the breakfast was finished at 9.30 when the notified time was up to 10am

Very uncomfy stay
The room was very worn. Needed a good paint. The bed was extremely hard so we may as well have slept on the ground. All of the plugs were also too close to cabinets so you couldn't put an adapter in them.

The hotel was being reformed during my stay ... the bedroom smells really bad ... smoke 💨 and the bed clothes seems old not properly white. The restroom awful. Really surprised 😱 with round disappointing happenings . The staff not friendly at all

Staff are nice, but just like all the business hotels in Japan, the rooms still smell like cigarettes, which give me a headache. Coffee in the room is not good. Bathroom is nice. The view was nice.

EXPEDIA AND THE HOTEL ADVERTISE AIR CONDITIONING, THEY DO NOT RUN IT FROM SEP TO JUN. IF THEY EVEN HAVE IT??? WERE VERY NASTY ABOUT IT. EXPEDIA SHOULD CHECK WHAT THEY ARE PRESENTING IN THEIR ADS.

Front desk & staff were excellent and friendly. Went out of their way to assist me, with a smile. Room was kept clean and was always ready by the advertised 2pm deadline. Matress was a bit hard for me but that's just my preference.

Great convenient hotel
If you're staying in Yokohama, this is a great hotel. The subway is right in front of the hotel (Isezakicho stop), and there's a convenience store on the bottom floor of the hotel which is awesome for any snack, coffee, etc you might need. The room was very clean, good staff, fantastic location, and very safe. I didn't have the breakfast, but it seemed extensive.

I enjoyed my stay at Washington Hotel. Check-in and check-out was quick and the room was adequate and clean. For its location just in front of the subway station, quiet yet safe neighbourhood though, I would want to stay again.

•The one positive experience: this hotel was close to the subway station and a couple of blocks from the shopping and dining areas. •The negative experiences were: *Upon check-in for three rooms, we were asked to pay extra for the childrens' breakfast buffet, an unexpected charge, which we declined. The website stated that the cost of the stay included breakfast buffet; it did not state "Adults only" or "Children extra charge" for breakfast buffet; upon securing reservations for the rooms, the children were included on the room reservations. *The room was hot and stuffy and the window was locked. We called the front desk to have someone unlock the window because the air conditioning in the room was non-operational; hot air was blowing from the vent and making the room more stuffy. *Shower curtain had a musty smell, like "wet laundry left in a bundle." *The bathroom door needed to be closed because the bathroom reeked of nasty smells from the wastewater vent near the floor of the tub. •I will not make reservations at this hotel when I visit Yokohama again.

A butler in your room....
The room was small and a bit beaten up. The location was good and sbove a subway station (blue-line Isazaki-chojia-machi) and a short walk to JR-line Kannai station. There are many restaurants near by. When I walk into my room I was welcomed by a big cockroach. I went back to front desk, explained and got another room. The room was exactly the same, small but you basically get what you need. The next morning I saw a small cockroach in the bathroom. I personally would not go back again and I hope the hotel work on taking care of hygienic aspect.

Room size is a bit small for four people but was acceptable. The room was hot and stuffy and no circulation of fresh air. Guests do not have have any means of adusting the room temprature neither. The bathroom odor was terrible. Luckily I only book it for one day.

Stayed at a standard double room. Room is small and this is something you are expected to stay in Japan but the temperature of air controller was not able to change by an individual room. Our room was hot but basically all you could was to turn off the air controller. Other than the air controller, the hotel is very close to a subway and places to eat.

Not what we expected
Firstly, I should state that our experience was tainted by what was likely my mistake in booking a smoking room. My two kids, my spouse and I do not smoke, and we were disgusted by the smoking room that we spent our first night in, as the staff was not able to find us a non-smoking room until the second night. Having said this, the carpet in the room was worn and dirty. The sofa was torn. We didn't have pillows for each of us. The second night's room was much better but the TV was tiny and lacked viewing options. The breakfast buffet was very good. The staff was very friendly, but not able to accomodate our request for more pillows and towels. Given the large number of hotels in Yokohama, such as the very nice Intercontinental that we stayed at earlier in the week, I can't recommend this hotel to a friend as a first option, but also wouldn't discourage them from staying there if it was the only option available.

Washington Hotel - Yokohama
Electric outlet didn't fit electronics jack, when I asked for an adapter they only had adapters for sale so I had to buy one. No problem, but if you market the hotel as having western standards then it should. Other options was to give the adapter to customers and if it's not return then charge it to the customer credit card The linen was filthy and I had to ask for it to be changed The room was a "smoking" room with a smell that was unbearable it seem also toxic. For the first three nights I couldn't sleep, I ended up buying air freshener and used 3 1/2 bottles of the air freshener that was in the room to spray down the entire room. After the first week it got tolerable. This is a 2 1/2 star at best The location was great. Walking distance to the stadium, China Town and several great restaurants. The subway is right outside the hotel entrance so it was easy access to travel around. Location is excellent The breakfast was good with lots of options - western breakfast

Important Tips
If you book this hotel be aware : 1. No onsite parking You must park at a designated garage down the street and you will still be charged 15 if you stay all night. Go in and out multiple times and you are charged regular rate even with the validation passes. Around 100 yen every 30 mins. You will have to carry your luggage around the garage as some of the elevators do not work and then down a couple blocks to the hotel. 2. You must use your room key to operate air/ heating / tv/ alarm/ radio. So if you have multiple people staying in your room one can not take the key or else everyone else in the room will have no heat/ac/tv or the like. 3. No designated smoke sections Even if you reserve a non smoking room the smoking rooms surrounding yours will make the halls, elevators and your room smell as they are all mixed together. 4. Needs renovated. Much more up to date hotels right down the road. Spend a small amount more for a good hotel. And ps the pillows are filled with plastic like pellets. Have fun with that.

We arrived late a night to this hotel which is average if not below average due to dirty sheets. However, you have to get through a very sketchy shopping arcade to get there and my travel partner was scared out of her wits because of the very aggressive hosts in the area.
