Firstly, I should state that our experience was tainted by what was likely my mistake in booking a smoking room. My two kids, my spouse and I do not smoke, and we were disgusted by the smoking room that we spent our first night in, as the staff was not able to find us a non-smoking room until the second night.
Having said this, the carpet in the room was worn and dirty. The sofa was torn. We didn't have pillows for each of us. The second night's room was much better but the TV was tiny and lacked viewing options.
The breakfast buffet was very good.
The staff was very friendly, but not able to accomodate our request for more pillows and towels.
Given the large number of hotels in Yokohama, such as the very nice Intercontinental that we stayed at earlier in the week, I can't recommend this hotel to a friend as a first option, but also wouldn't discourage them from staying there if it was the only option available.
