Love this hotel!!! Excellent customer service. Free water every day. Free coffee and tea, daily toiletries if you forget to bring yours. Great location only 8-10mins walk to Yokohama station. Lots if restaurants nearby. 7/11 store round the corner. It is quiet area away from hustle and bustle. Highly recommend.

Close to Yokohama station. Plenty of restaurants and convenience stores around. Room was clean, neat, and quiet. Staffs there were all nice and helpful. Price is decent, too.

There is a restaurant on the property called Tobago...it's pricey. There are other options nearby if thats an issue. We ate for half the price of a single person.

I love the idea that the hotel is clean and affordable. It had a laundry room and microwave available. I am glad that the rooms are spacious like American size with a table and chair available in the rooms.

The hotel is simple and cosy. Good walking distance to train station, malls and restaurants. Hotel seems creepy at night with the vintage decorations and sim lighting. Perhaps some renovation and brighten up the lights will be better. But in the morning the creepy feeling is completely gone. Love the onsen. Simple and good. And room is cosy to stay in and well light. Would try to stay again when I back in Yokohama. Thank you

Overall satisfy with room and service staff. Just one minority that in the booking doesn't state they have grand bath in basement and doesn't allow tattoo. They should state in booking page to avoid disappointment.

Near Yokohama station and very convenient because mostly everything is within walking distance. I liked the unique painting on the walls of the hotel.

Rude and unhelpful hotel manager on duty 11/4/2023
I lost my luggage on a taxi to the hotel and could not communicate with the driver in Japanese. the hotel staff tried to help but the manager was one cold, rude woman who was stone-faced and absolutely refused to help me. I asked the staff to call the police who helped resolve the problem eventually. All this crazy nonsense took about 3 hours! This terrible manager on duty Nov. 4 should be sacked for her extreme rudeness and below par service perormance! The hotel room itself is old with a high bath tub and no mat which is slippery! I won’t recommend this poor hotel to any sane traveller! period.

The hotel was about a 10 minute walk to the train station, tons of shopping and places to eat around the train station. The staff was lovely and helpful and the room was a good size by Japanese standards. I'm sorry we didn't get to try the baths on B1. We did use the coin laundry which worked fine. I would stay there again.

It's 10 minutes walk to Yokohama Station so you get all the convenience. The hotel is at a quiet street. The facilities are slightly dated, but in general it's a comfortable stay for the price.

Shining Solo
The definitive place to stay if you like peace and quiet yet want easy access to everything. Even though it’s in Yokohama I was able to arrive conveniently and comfortable directly with the Narita Express train. It’s a short walk from Yokohama station. On the way there’s many stores and unique restaurants to visit. Convenience store nearby is conveniently open at all hours. Hotel breakfast is fashionable and filling. There’s a salad, bread and drink bar in addition to the set breakfast you can choose from. I was there four days and had a wonderful different breakfast experience each time. Since I’m by myself and don’t have a lot of luggage, the single room I booked didn’t feel cramped at all. I appreciate that there’s a separate sitting area away from the bed so you can enjoy your late night snacks and drink after a nice warm bath. The baths can easily be accessed through the basement and there are refreshing ice cream and cold drinks just right by the elevators. The staff both in the front desk and in the restaurant is kind and can speak well in English, so don’t be intimidated if you need something to make your own stay more pleasant. Since the hotel is conveniently near the station, even though it was all the way in Yokohama, I was able to quickly make trips to popular Tokyo tourists spots like Shibuya and Asakusa. Overall it was a great solo trip experience and would recommend anyone to try travelling alone at least once.
