Great location. Within walking distance of restaurants and shopping. Staff a friendly and helpful. Beds comfortable and rooms clean. Great super start breakfast. Had no problems. We will stay here again.

The rate increased from $187 when I booked and checked in to $230 when checked out and was billed the next day. Also fees were added that were not listed on Expedia.

Arrived at the hotel from a late flight to find out they had gave our rooms to someone else and still charged us. The hotel was full so we had to find somewhere else to stay at 3am

There were no amenities at all. No coffee shop no dining room no bar. Staff was extremely cooperative and polite and professional. But there's nothing to do right the hotel other than sleep

Absolutely horrible stay and customer service. Go stay at the Explorer or Nova instead. Booked on Expedia with "pay at the hotel", hotel charged about $10 more than quoted on the Expedia booking. (After taxes and fees quoted). Staff response was that "their fees were different to Expedias" Received phone call in the room at 11am telling me that I was checking out today at 11am and they would charge me $100 late fee if we didn't get out.

Good Day SergeiI am sorry that you were over charged on your reservation. At times the online 3rd party booking portal and our system differ in rates, We will immediately refund to your card 8.76I am also sorry if the delivery of the message for departure on the 10th was a bit brash. We do have a procedure to call all rooms at 11am to let them know check out time is 11am as we do need to enter the rooms to clean and prepare for the next guest.I will speak with the front desk agent that was on duty that day to go over her delivery method to our customers.I thank you for bringing both of these issues to me.

Needs upgrades
Great location but needs upgrades. No pressure in the showers and I've stayed in numerous rooms, toilets are very low and blow dryers are outdated. Also need some USB ports in rooms as well.

Good Day LisaWe thank you for staying with us and are happy that you enjoy the location when you do.We have slowly been making upgrades to the building but sadly there are only a few that our guests might notice. This year we have put in brand new picture headboards, a new guest washer and dryer, as well as new access points throughout the building to increase the disruption and increase the speed for the guest Wi-Fi. Unfortunately the remainder has been on items that our guest will not see. I do appreciate all comments on the capital items and improvements that need to be done, as it is you our guests that can tell us best. We are trying to find a solution for the shower pressure in the building.We do appreciate you kind score and I will ensure to put the remainder of the items on my list for consideration.Have a wonderful holiday and thank you

The water ran in the toilet all the time. Theres wasnt much pressure in the shower and the plug wouldnt stay up when i showered ao i had to keep lifting the plug up to drain water as i showered. The staff was friednly

The Marks Work Warehouse back door is adjacent to hotel front and their garbage bins were over full with garbage on the ground. The loader removing snow at 5:00 AM was very noisy and woke us up. The toilet is made for children as it was very low and there wasn’t enough towels or coffee. The hotel and room was very clean.

The website sent me to Expedia who quote a price which was different cost that came with the confirmation. Expedia advised the change would be made on check in but the Lady was not able to make the changes.

Was put up in room 301. Window was broken and unable to close all the way. The last night was very windy and the room was cold and very noisy due to the window not closing. Beds are sub-par compared to other hotels I’ve stayed at. Given the price per night I would have expected more premium bedding and a better maintained property. This property is in need of some major renovations. The free morning breakfast is a very limited, ended up eating at the Tim Hortons that is next door for breakfast. The property advertised fitness room, the fitness room was closed off and not available. Overall I would not recommend this property to anyone unless you are in need of a hotel and it’s the only one available.

Good Day JeffI am so sorry that the window did not close and that it was noisy and cold. This problem has been rectified since your stay. I do appreciate you letting us know. I also feel bad about the issues you encountered such as the beds, Closed fitness room and breakfast. The fitness room was closed as we had received new headboards for the building and due to the large quantity this was our only option at the time, for safety reasons we did not feel safe to allow anyone to go into the fitness room. The rooms are being painted and headboard are being stalled. We are hopeful to be able to open the fitness room shortly.. Our beds are fairly new and we never seem to get complaints about them, I am sorry you found them uncomfortable. The breakfast does offer Waffles, bread, bagels, english muffins, cereals, oatmeal, muffins, fruit, yogurt and coffee, tea, juice or water. If you have additional suggestions we would happily listen to any suggestions, We do not have a kitchen on site so the options would have to be conducive to this.Once again I am sorry that we were unable to make you happy, but I do hope you enjoyed you time in Yellowknife and were able to see the Northern Lights during your stay.
