"Real Fiji experience"
From when we first hopped on the transfer boat and the beach Botaira was one of my favourites. The welcome and main hunt just completely what you want a FIJI to be. Homely, friendly, welcoming and traditional. The staff are lovely and sang through each of our meals. The gave a great concert on the first night with traditional singing and dance. The beach front villa was very large with beautiful Fiji pattern painted on the high ceiling. I had a nice bathroom and hot water in the evenings and a fridge. They provide fresh water in the room daily and had a good selection of free activates and even though at dinner there were a few guests you felt like that the whole place was just yours. We did a village visit and this is well worth it. Snorkelling and swimming is good as is many places in Fiji. I did not want to leave and I would return in a heart beat.

"I would give a 6 star!!"
Fantastic and unforgettable experience in FIJI. All hotel stuff are coming from the near by village which make you feel like living in a big family. Sea food provided free charge, drink for free, activity for free (included in the hotel price). Again, I would give a 6 star if there is an option.

"Little hut on the beach"
Beautiful views from your bure but the accommodation is very rough and rustic which is part of its charm. We are an older couple and not quite used to the rough accommodation but so enjoyed the beach, snorkeling, eating outside and the commraderie of other guests. We were by far the oldest there but we really enjoy hanging out with young people and had a really good time. The meals were very average though and there was not a lot of variety. We were told that the barge that brings food was late and they were running out of food. The drinks they served at happy hour were probably watered down as they had no taste whatsoever and were not that cheap. The meal plan they charge is $75FJ per day which I think is too high. Overall we liked it but will likely chose another island to stay with better meals if we ever go back to Fiji.

"Beauty on the Beach"
My husband and I decided to go to Octopus Resort to get away from tourism on the mainland and Octopus did NOT disappoint. The resort itself is beautiful and well run, with good food, friendly staff, and a collection of daily activities planned to help you enjoy your stay. Despite the less than great weather, we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing on the beautiful beach just 100 feet from our room and snorkeling in the crystal clear water right off the coast! My only complaint about the location, being that it is not located on the mainland, is that it is quite hard to get to. Our flight landed in Nadi at 10:15 am but the last boat to depart for the island is 10 am, so we had to charter a seaplane to get to the island at quite an expense (and NO we are not rich, and YES that absolutely hurt our wallets). While yes, we should have done more research before booking our flights/looking into the boat options, it would also help if there were more daily boats out to the islands to make it easier for arriving guests. The seaplane was a nice experience, just more expensive than we would have liked to have paid after already having paid for the resort. Also, Octopus does not advertise (at least not on Expedia...) that it will be an added expense on top of what you pay to get to and from the island (the resort boat is $80 pp each way.) Despite our issues actually getting TO the island, once we got there we had a wonderful time and wished we could have stayed longer :)

"It was my third stay in Fiji and it was the best. "
We have been to Fiji before and we know what we like, I personally work in hospitality and have to say that the staff was amazing. There was plenty of activities every day to choose from. The corals on this island are one of the most colorful that I have ever seen. The food was very tasty as it most of the time was catch of the day so very fresh as well we got treated to a traditionally cooked octopus and last night we even got lobster. I would definitely recommend this resort as it has beautiful corals to snorkel and a short ride in the kayak to a totally secluded beach with white sand and aquamarine water. Get there by the sea plane and save your self hustle on the 6 hour ride on the boat and the view from the plane is priceless. Would definitely go back. Would not recommend it to people who are stuck up snobs as it is not a 5 star hotel. Just amazing holiday we had here. Anna and John

    Yasawa Islands Hotels Guide

Less developed than the nearby Mamanucas, the 16 Yasawa islands and smaller islets are noted for their lush hilltops, classic palm-fringed white-sand beaches, and brilliant coral reefs. Volcanic in origin, the islands are a paradise for cruisers, yachties, honeymooners, divers, and backpackers, with resorts to match, from budget through to exclusive 5-star retreats.
