Beautiful views!
Beautiful setting right on the bay!! Nice grounds to walk around in, complete with Adirondack chairs and seating on the deck. Our room had a wonderful view! Everything was very clean. The restaurant was excellent!!

We had never been to the Argyler before. The setting is idyllic in a rustic sense. We stayed in the inn, though they have a small number of cottages on the property. Our room, clean and appointed with all we needed, looked out on the many islands of the Argyle Sound. The inn is close to the Acadia community of Lower West Pubnico, which has what must be one of the largest fishing fleets in Nova Scotia, and superb seafood restaurants. Overall, a great experience. We’ve already booked to come back again next year, and added an extra day so we can explore the local area.

Although the property is very nice and the lodge is beautifully situated, our room was small and dark without enough surfaces for placing toiletries etc. The meal in the dining room was excellent.

Room was small with only one little window but it did face the water A/C noisy but effective! Great deck to sit outside for drinks near water

The room was comfortable and had a pleasant view of the valley below. We enjoyed the restaurant. The only negative is the plastic bottles of water when you arrive in the room. The message is that the tap water is not good to drink but it tastes fine and they serve it in the restaurant.

Nice lodge if you’re looking for some relaxation. Clean & comfortable room, good communication. We arrived late from the ferry & easy instructions. Minor comments is it would have been nice to have a complimentary bottle of water. 10:00 am is an early check out time, but it was not an issue checking out at least an hour later.

Nice location, room very small coffee maker broken, shower enclosure very sketchy. Restaurant over rated and over priced, food was nothing special. Wait staff didn’t know much about overpriced wine. Wanted boiled lobster dinner but apparently the chef is allergic to lobster??? On Lobster Bay in Nova Scotia?? Maybe need 2nd chef. Don’t get me started on the mosquitoes!

Hi Mark,Thank you for your feedback. The coffee maker isn't broken, a guest just used it yesterday, I know because I showed the guest how to use it.We price our menu items according to our cost. Our wine is priced accordingly and comparable to other restaurants in the area. There was one specific bottle the server was unsure of the varietal, however the grapes were listed on the menu.A boiled lobster is doable but has to be pre-ordered as we do not have a holding tank. Not cooking you a boiled lobster has nothing to do with one of my chefs having a lobster allergy. We serve lobster dishes on our menu.The mosquitos unfortunately are out of my control :) We do have bug spray. I appreciate your feedback and am sorry you did not have a good expereince.All the best,Elana

The Inn was charming! Our room was very comfortable. The lobster roll we ordered was amazing. The owners and staff were attentive and managed to cook a delicious breakfast during a widespread power outrage!

This is an absolutely beautiful property! Large porch on the water is peaceful. Rooms are decorated and have amenities that are carefully thought out. Restaurant wasn't open for dinner on the day I was there but for $15 you could have a cooked to order breakfast. Nicely done! The property is in a rural location but is well worth the effort to get there!

Extraordinary place
This is an absolutely amazing place to stay. We stayed here on our first night and our last night of a 9-day vacation in Nova Scotia. Relatively close to the ferry, beautiful and peaceful setting, absolutely wonderful and welcoming staff. I would recommend this in a heartbeat

The Lodge is right and the water facing West, so we were treated to a spectacular sunset while eating dinner on the deck. The lobster mac and cheese was phenomenal.

The staff were amazing they reached out to see if we would like dinner upon arrival, they accommodated us with a fire, and late check out. They were lovely and sweet and it’s such a beautiful location. The sunset was gorgeous!
