It takes about 30 mins in the morning to go to the Bogyoke aung san market, 20 mins to the airport in the early morning by taxi. Staff can speak English and their service is ok. The food and hotel restaurant is not very good. Cependant, la chambre n'était pas adaptée pour trois personnes ni prête lors de notre arrivéée en fin de journée et la réception a fait payé un lit d'appoint très chèrement alors que la réservation stipulait noir sur blanc une chambre pour trois personnes sans mentionner la nécessité de payer pour un troisième lit. Be firm and insist on exactly the amenities you have booked, as they have several different classes of rooms and may try to give you less than what you have paid for. The hotel is new and in very good condition, although located a bit far from the center of town. The staff is friendly and helpful, but management has been instructed not to give room upgrades, even when the amenities promised when booking are not in the lower class of rooms. The Burmese in general can be very firm negotiators, so if you want to get what you paid for, you must be just as firm in insisting on it.
