The hotel location is excellent. You can have either 3 mins driving to Yokoteyama ski area or 5 mins driving to central area. Other than the location, all staff are very polite, patient and helpful. Some of the staff are able to communicate in English and Cantonese fluently. They have sufficient parking space compared to other hotels in shiga kogen. If you look for some living experience in a traditional Japanese hospitality, this is the one. This is an amazing place!! I have travelled around Japan for a few weeks and this was definitely one of the best places i stayed for several reasons: 1st- the staff is incredible!! And I mean not just the usual JP politeness , here they were really friendly, supportive and interested - giving a lot of recommendations and showing interest 2nd - they have a great chef that makes each dinner and breakfast a delightful adventure through local cousine 3rd - the beds are super confortable and warm and evertyhing is super clean 4th - location is beautiful and super easy of you come by car or bus - it's very close to snow monkey park, kusatsu and the ski station ( they even have a training simulator!!) It's just a great value for money.
