Honestly, the pictures don't do it justice. There is a wonderful loft upstairs that was perfect for my friend and I to do yoga, there are HOOKs! I love when these places have hooks and they rarely do. It makes it so much easier to keep track of belongings. I felt an immediate sense of serenity when I turned onto the street leading to the carriage house and mansion. A huge part of why I say it is decorated impeccably is due to the tasteful modernization combined with a seamless nod to the building's history. Communication with the host was great and she even messaged me and allowed me to use their charging station. I was able to just leave without "filling up" and make it home without stoopping. Our host was quick to respond and check-in was very easy. The two bedrooms and the loft were spacious but cozy with fresh and comfy linens. The kitchen had everything you need including some common spices and oil for cooking. There were plenty of yummy coffee options (Starbucks & Kirkland), including decaf, and creamers. The house boasts fun, artistic lighting and other rustic touches to showcase its history. We also appreciated the cozy, heated bathroom floor! The location was great as it is near downtown Yakima restaurants and within ten-to-fifteen minutes of some great wineries. I would caution those with mobility concerns as there is a very long and steep set of stairs to navigate from the entrance to to the main part of the house. After reading some of the reviews, we learned of the "History" book. This had some amazing information about the original family and history of Yakima itself.
