The Whales are migrating! Watch from our deck! Walk to everything!

If you truly want the view, Ocean Bay Cottage is your spot. This great little cabin with southern exposure and a big deck is situated with perfect views of the ocean, and mouth of the Yachats River. Relax on the deck while enjoying the sunrise/sunset. Views change every six hours because you're sitting right at the tide line. At low tide you will see life unfold before you on the beach, including resident eagles, herons, and seals. At high tide the same view will provide breaking waves as well as the migration of hump back whales during the spring and fall months.

This CLASSIC beach cabin has two bedrooms and one bath.

Amenities include a fully furnished kitchen, ocean view living room and dining room, HDTV/ DVD Player, Wifi, FM tuner with iPod cable. Be sure to check out our latest addition: a recently added mural painted by Oregon muralist Corie Hinton. It is a visual treat waiting for you when you open the kitchen door.

Ocean Bay Cottage is right in town so you can walk everywhere, including at least four different eateries that are less than three blocks away, as well as groceries, fun shops and the Yachats Commons. The Yachats Area Chamber of Commerce/Visitor Center is right next to the grocery store, so stop in for a chat about local attractions. The Yachats area is plentiful with scenic areas and hiking trails to enjoy.

The owner has many properties, so if one is looking for a warm and personal encounter with the owner of an individual property, you won't find that here. That said, the property was well-appointed and felt homey.What stood out was the location. Uniquely situated on a bay, the location provided a view perpendicular to the waves (at high tide) and close-and-personal with the seagulls (at low tide). We could sit for hours mesmerized by nature.

Kitchen was Very well equipped. We used the slow cooker provided. Deck looked out onto where the Yachats River meets the ocean. We walked to restaurants and the state park right up the street. The beds were great. Parking space provided was tight but our truck fit. Would definitely return to this lovely cottage. Hiking opportunities were plentiful.

We had a fantastic stay here. The view is beautiful and the location is great to walk to the shops. The house did have a musty smell when we got there, but it was fine after airing it out. The bedrooms are very small without any room to walk around in. The kitchen is well equipped and the living room is comfortable. Overall, we enjoyed our stay!

Cute upgraded kitchen/living/dining area. Patio and view of ocean/inlet gorgeous. Disappointed in bedrooms esp#2 really? Locked closet, various tv type trays to set down my suitcase; no chest of drawer..washer dryer unit in bedroom seems to have run over onto carpet in the past..very old carpet, but maybe owner plans to slowly remodel.Love the town and especially The Drift. Great burgers and pizza!Neighbors have 3 huge dogs which use their front deck as a toilet. They hose it off between the houses, but you cant always choose your neighbors.1st time ever been to a rental with no free coffee! Thankfully Yachats has one driveup.

We had a wonderful stay here! The cottage is comfortable and cozy with a nicely redone kitchen and bathroom. The location is amazing: close to stores and restaurants in Yachats and right on the 804 trail. Cape Perpetua is only a very short drive away. And, as the pictures show, the views are outstanding! We hope to stay here again!

A perfect location and wonderful deck to enjoy the afternoon aperitif! The home could use some upgrades and fresher appointments. It was clean, but somewhat of a down on it's luck feeling about it. But because of location, it fits quite well.

We had an amazing 3 nights in yachats enjoying the beautiful ocean. The beach house is located across from the sand dune/ocean. The view was spectacular. We enjoyed eating out on the deck morning and night. We also had fun watching wales from the deck. The place is a bit small, but for just the two of us, it was perfect. Since we are used to sleeping in a king bed, the place only offered 2 queen bedrooms which were a bit tight, but we each had our own room which was nice. There wasn't a reason we needed to spend much time in the rooms since all we wanted to do was sit in the front room or on the front deck. Can't get much closer to the water than this place. Also it's a quiet neighborhood, but so close to downtown, which we walked to to get groceries. Had dinner twice at Luna's fish house. The best! The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Thank you for an amazing relaxing time! We will definitely be back!

Amazing location

We had a wonderful stay! It was just the right size for my small family of 4 with an amazing location to walk to the lookout, farmers market and many cute shops. It was a short drive to the beach entrance. We saw amazing sunsets and even a seal. The house had everything we needed.

Sweet Stay in Yachats

A perfect little stay in Yachats with a great view! We enjoyed seeing sea lions and bald eagles from the deck. We were able to walk to restaurants and shops and to the Yachats Ocean Road State Park for a beautiful sunset!

Don't Miss out on the Magic!

The highlight here is the location, overlooking the Yachats River flowing in the Pacific, and minutes from Cape Perpetua, Thors Well, etc. It's got the most beautiful view I've ever had on vacation. And a lovely beach to play on to boot. But I would be remiss if I didn't mention the charming accomodations. A cozy and comfortable fit for my family of four, with all the amenities you need. The neighbors are welcoming and the town is so charming. We will be back ASAP!
