Sweet Homes Vacation Getaways brings you this adorable, beachfront home that lets you vacation in peace and quiet...this home is a dream! The Beachwood Cottage offers absolutely stunning views of the big sky and rolling waves on a sandy beach. The stormy days are as special and memorable as the clear sunny ones! The cozy layout make this home perfect for a romantic getaway! There is a loft with two separate sleeping areas, views of the ocean and a deck, so bring the kids! We also provide free WiFi, and collections of books and games for your enjoyment during your stay. There is also parking for a full size RV. This home is next door to The Pacific Vista Home and both homes rented together are perfect to accommodate larger families or groups. Enjoy exploring the central Oregon coast from Heceta Head Lighthouse and Cape Perpetua to Newport's historic bayfront and Nye Beach districts. This home is just a short drive to easy access to sandy or rocky beaches (no access in front of the home). Less than a mile north is access at the end of Colorado Street or a little further you will find Beachside State Park with plenty of parking. To the south of the house is a pullout along the highway by Vingie Creek or further towards Yachats, enjoy the rocky coast and the 804 Trail at Smelt Sands State Park. Sleeps up to 4 - 1 bedroom and loft, 1 Queen; 1 Queen futon; and 1 King (can be split in to two twins with 72 hours prior notice); 1 Bath. Vehicles: Licensed for 3 (Strictly enforced- No street parking allowed) Standard: 2 night minimum; Summer & Holidays: 3-4 night minimum. Age Requirement: The primary registered guest must be at least 26 years of age. The majority of guests must be over 25, or children under adult supervision. \*Each home is individually owned. It was centralized to all the activities we wanted to do. The place was a perfect size for the two of us. The place did take a long time to heat up on a cold day. A call into the managing company wasn't very helpful but we figured it out. The deck needed some repair but was usable and the lawn could have used a mow. However, there is access to the beach if you are careful. It was peaceful and very scenic. I'm glad we stayed there despite a few minor items.A good choice if you'd like to stay in Yachats! ##### Raquel B. Everything was clean and it was really well stocked for the stay. There are two houses side by side at the end of the drive looks like the owner only rents one at a time, making the stay very nice and private. The whole property is just really cool, the house is really cute the interior trusses and beams just make it have a great feel. The view of the beach is amazing from the house or even sit on the deck. We could see the trail going down to the beach when we booked, that was the reason we chose the house. It is labeled "use at your own risk" but we found it very useable. Would definitely come back again! Just a note the right rear burner on the stove doesn't work, it's probably just an element. The views and easy access to the beach was unbeatable. The cottage had all the basic necessities for cooking meals, no shortage of towels and the bed was very cozy. Trying to operate electronic space heater didn't always work because the power outlets did not always work. 24 hours prior to our arrival we were told fireplace did not function properly. Very cozy and warm with a million dollar view. The walk down to the beach is a little tricky if you have difficulty walking on wet rocks, but for most folks it shouldn’t be a problem in the right shoes. We paid (at least) $75/night more for this specific house (even though it's a ways from Newport) because the photos gave the impression of beautiful, well worn, easy beach access, not to mention it was listed as beachfront. Oceanfront for sure, breathtaking view. But beachfront? Not so much. Chunks of broken concrete, slippery clay, thorny vegetation. I literally slipped and fell when I attempted it, slid down the entire embankment all the way to the sand. My wife also slipped and hurt herself when she tried going down, so we had to travel to get to any beach area, such a waste. Inside the house-the windows that open are so small we couldn't even hear the waves, wood floors are splintered in places ( had a couple close calls, sticking in socks) only a loveseat and a rocking chair for living room seating, the TV's are in the bedrooms, so you have to watch on the bed, the thermostats wouldn't shut off properly, needs some real TLC. But we would've overlooked all of that (and been completely content) if we could've gotten to the sand, because that's why we picked it. Amazing view, but the beach access really interfered with the enjoyment and use of the property. And, of course, to rub it in, the neighbors had a nice wooden staircase going down and wouldn't let us use it. I'm sure the owner/manager won't be happy to read this, but it's all true. ##### Robert A. It was beautiful despite the gale force winds we had for 2 of the days. The fire place lite in the living room was nice to have going while we cooked and built small wood models. The team at the management company were quick to respond and extremely helpful with questions before our arrival. The house was stocked with plenty of towels and the view was wonderful.
