I stayed in the hotel in October, so not so hot outside. However it was VERY hot in my room, at one point it was 27c. Clearly the Air Con wasn't functioning so I asked reception. They sent a technician who proceeded to LIE about the situation saying it would take time to cool down. Eventually they admitted that they had turned off the Air Con for the whole hotel to save money and gave me a cooling unit, which did almost nothing I should add. I would still be annoyed but be prepared to accept this at a cheaper hotel, but this is meant to be 5\* luxury. The hotel appears to have two sections: one for tourists from outside China and one for Chinese. Both share the huge, lovely gourmet restaurant. A hired taxi is the best way to get from the airport to this hotel or to the Terra Cotta Warriors and the fine Xian (area) Historical Museum in Xian city. Hotel personnel can help arrange for the taxi.
