We had misplaced our phone on our way to the hotel in the bullet train. Despite not knowing the language he assisted us promptly by calling the relevant people and helped greatly with the recovery within 24 hours. I really appreciate his gesture and am thankful for his kind gesture. Because of such staff your country’s image is enhanced more. Not what I expected for Courtyard Marriott. Yes to any Marriott, but not Courtyard. I would definitely return to this property when I come back to Xi'an China. BEAUTIFUL! However, and I know this is a family oriented property, dining area was a bit to be desired, as it was late in the evening and my husband and I was tired from touring. We wanted a nice quiet place to eat and the dining room was not.... a bit pricey as well. We ended up purchasing sandwiches from the grocery store connected to this building. The staff were well trained and actually listened to my requests when checking in. After a long week of noise, I was changed to a floor with fewer people and no tour groups. Most staff spoke some level of English. Food was fantastic. It was a great weeknd of relaxation.
